WHAT'S NEW???!!!

Okay so maybe it's already a few years old in Japan... and maybe here too... but Angelic Layer is CLAMP's latest Manga. It's kind of a mix between Card Captor Sakura and Battle Bots. *LMAO can you see that?!* It takes place in the future. (In other words, toys in the future will rule!) They make toys called "Angels". You can design them yourself, styling their hair, cloths, and even giving them a name. After all that's done you take them to the "Angelic Layer" and FIGHT with them! The story is mainly based around Misaki and her Angel Hikaru.

The People:

Suzuhara Misaki Age: 11 Talents: Cooking Family: Father who is deceased, Mother Shuuko, Aunt Shouko and Grandmother. Who?: Misaki is the main character of Angelic Layer. She had just moved to Tokyo and while waiting to be picked up from the Subway by her Aunt she watched an Angelic Fight and immediatly got hooked.

Icchan Age: ??? Talents: Making ppl think he's Ecchi > <;;; Family: ??? Who?: Icchan is the man who really got Misaki hooked on Angelic Layer. After she'd seen the fight he told her where and what she could buy to get her own Angle. Many ppl think he's ecchi because he wears a lab coat. He gets in trouble with the police a lot too.

Kobayashi Koutarou Age: 11 Talents: ??? Family: Sister Hatoko Who?: Koutarou is one of Misaki's close friends. He greatly supports her when she goes into the Angelic Layer to battle other Angles. Even when she is up agenst his own sister, Hatoko.

Kazaki Tamayo Age; 11 Talents: ??? Family: ??? Who?: Tamayo is another one of Misaki's good friends. She gave Misaki the nickname of Misaki-chi. She's one of those "Tomboyish" types, and is very "out going".

Kobayashi Hatoko Age: 5 Talents: Very Skilled Angelic Fighter Family: Brother Koutarou Who?: Don't let her age fool you. She is hightly skilled in Angelic Fighting. She is also Misaki's Rival. She practicaly eats, sleeps, and breathes Angelic Layer. Thus she knows a lot about it and is a very good rival indeed.

The Angels:

Name: Hikaru Dues: Misaki Type: Speed Note: Hikaru was designed and named after Shidou Hikaru of Magic Knights Rayearth.

Name: Sazuka Dues: Hatoko Type: Speed Note: One of her special abilities is an attack called "Rolling Thunder".

The Terms:

Angel: Angel's are dolls in which you can buy at any "Piffle Princess" store. You can design the doll's hair and cloths. Then you can name your doll and take it into the Angelic Layer to fight other dolls. Angel Egg: To get and Angel you must buy and Angel Egg and follow the instructions in order for the Angel to "hatch" out of the Egg. Angelic Layer: The game inwhich the Angels fight. In the Angelic Layer the Dues is like a "God". The object of the game is to knock the other Angel off the layer. You move the doll through telepathy by placing a viser on your head. Battle Bots: A TV show on Comedy Central where guys build small machines and then send them into a room where they fight using remote control. *Practicly tearing themselves to shreds.* Card Captor Sakura: Another manga by CLAMP. Sakura, a fourth grade girl manages to release the Clow Cards and must hunt them all down and bring them back. Dues: The person who controls the Angel. In the Angelic Layer the Dues is practicaly "God". Piffle Princess: The store where you can purchase any Angelic Layer Item.
