Subject: Attn. Ahmed Gidado: We knew that Revolutionary Banking is better than Western Union!

Date: Sat, 24 Jan 2004 04:43:57 -0800 (PST)
From Cas te Kort (banker) to Ahmed Gidado (IBA bank)

Dear Dr Ahmed Gidado,

I knew this was going to happen. I wrote about this earlier to Dr. Musu Aga, telling him that we preferred to pay by other methods. Why on earth can't we use an ordinary international transfer, instead of this capitalist proletariat-suppressing Western Union System? I knew they were not to be trusted. Why doesn't the whole world use our Revolutionary Banking System? This would make things so much easier!

Anyway, I phoned the Western Union in Denmark. They explained they had had a computer problem there, a crash of the local server due to a ISP-pointer which, apparently, got into disarray. As a result they miss all the payments made between 12.09 and 14.56 hours on January 22nd. The long and short of it is that my co-worker Onno Verwonnen will have to travel to Copenhagen again with this payment slip to prove that he made this payment, and then they will be able to transfer the money to you. Do you realize that this costs more in salary and travel costs than the actual 300 euros?

Mr. Verwonnen will travel to Denmark on Monday (we had to get a new travel permit as well) so if you go to the Western Union office again on Tuesday I am sure you will be able to collect the amount.

Yours,

=====
