"The Perfect One" James Wright
versus
Psycho Steve w/Stacey Firestone
Singles Match
Referee: Chad Pattison
Writer: Ed Walker
JP: The first match of the night is going to
be a great one Sully. It will pit Psycho Steve against "The Perfect
One" James Wright. Psycho Steve is fighting to try and gain a
permanent MwF contract while James Wright is looking to prove why
he's known as "the greatest UwF champion of all-time".
Sully: In my opinion James has already
proved himself, he's driven Fear out of the MwF with injury. Fear's
running scared from "The Perfect One", everyone knows it.
JP: Fear's out for a couple of weeks with a
broken ankle, also he has a possible neck injury which he refuses to
divulge information about.
Sully: Psycho Steve is about to be taken to
school, he hasn't got the experience or ability to beat James.
JP: Lets not forget though that James hasn't
been a regular competitor in the ring for over a year now, that ring
rust may play a big part in this match.
["I Am Canadian" by The James Wright Band hit's the PA system,
much to the disgust of the American crowd. "The Perfect One" makes
his way to the ring with a superior smirk on his face as the MwF fans
hurl jeers at him. He is wearing a set of black boots and a pair of
white and red crotched pants. James is holding a microphone in his
right hand as he rapidly walks down the ramp. He enters the ring via
the steel steps and signals for his music to be cut.]
James Wright: Let me be the first to
introduce you all to M-W-F DynaWright! Normally I'm quite a
happy-go-lucky character but I've got a bit of a beef to play out
tonight. Everyone knows that James Wright is a main-event performer
yet I find myself opening the show that was named after me? What's
the deal with that? I know that I'm needed to give the show an
initial ratings boost but I also know that with the likes of Troy
Knight and Kid Insanity on after me the ratings are bound to plummet
as soon as I leave the screen. Well tonight I'm making it my mission
to prove why next week I should be in the main-event. Ed Walker
clearly doesn't know a headlock from his tiny cock if he plans on
making me a curtain jerker. I also want to have a brief word about a
member of Twisted Vision.
[The crowd pop from the mention of Twisted Vision which leaves
James Wright with a sickened look on his face. He walks around the
ring a couple of times to regain his composure as the cheers die
down.]
James Wright: Insane Wayne recently had a
few words to say on our past, about how he was always in my shadow.
There was, and still is, a reason for that Wayne. You're simply not
as good as I am. Hell you're a workhouse, you just keep on going, but
I'm the superstar. When I touch things they turn to gold. You've
never been as good as me Wayne and you never will be. You had so much
potential but then you threw it all away when you started sucking up
to the fans. What did it get you Wayne? It got you nothing! To be a
true champion in this sport you have know yourself inside out, you've
become a parody of yourself Wayne. You've become nothing more than a
wannabe. You want to be regarded as a legend but it will never
happen. So you became the "Hardcore Legend", so what? Hardcore
wrestling is for people with no technical abilities. You want to be
the World champion, but you're just not good enough. You want to play
with the big boys like me but you're a small man, big in stature,
little in talent. It'd be my pleasure to take you to school but it
appears you're "out of action" - just like Fear.
[Again the crowd cheer for the mention of another of their newly
found favourites. This time it doesn't appear to bother James as he
carries on talking.]
James Wright: Right now Fear is rested up at
home, on his back just like he always ends up in the ring. I'm the
biggest thing to hit the MwF ever and I'm going to come down on Fear
like a tonne of bricks…if he ever has to guts to show his face in
these parts again. If he thinks what he's feeling right now is pain
then I'm going to introduce him to a whole new world of torture. I
hope you're watching tonight fear because I'm dedicating this match
to you, everything you see happen to Psycho Steve is only a glimpse
of the things I have planned for you. Now bring your ass out here
Steve so I can kick it!
Peter Santos: And the opponent, weighing in at 265 lbs., from
Detroit, Michigan, accompanied by Stacey Firestone, Psycho Steve!
[The crowd give off quite a cheer as the American makes his way
out to the sound of "Numb" by Linkin park. Stacey Firestone, dressed
seductively in a school girls' outfit struts down to the ring on the
arm of Steve as he pumps up the fans with hand gestures. James Wright
looks condescendly down from the ring as Psycho Steve strolls down
the ramp with Stacey.]
Sully: This guy doesn't realise what he is
getting himself into, you do not, do not cross James Wright and get
away with it, the man is a technical wrestling master.
JP: Psycho Steve was unlucky to lose to
Scotty Heart last week, it was a close fought match and "Heaven's
Gift" could have lost countless times.
Sully: Don't give Steve that much credit,
he's just a hardcore wrestler who is out of his depth tonight.
JP: We'll see once the match gets started,
Steve could have some tricks up his sleeve.
[The MaxiTron flickers back to the in ring action as James Wright
walks over to the ropes and stretches as Psycho Steve bids Stacey
Firestone farewell and leaps into the ring. He milks the crowds
applause as he walks straight up to James Wright and gets in his
face, "The Perfect One" turns his face away and suddenly fires a
right hand round to catch Psycho Steve unawares. Steve looks shocked
as he is rocked back and Wright fires a right hand right into the jaw
of Psycho Steve, the fans jeering loudly as the bell sounds and James
Wright locks Psycho Steve into a headlock. He wrenches the neck of
Psycho Steve before Steve attempts to break free but James Wright
ducks round and pulls out an atomic drop, Psycho Steve's spine is
jolted as the move connects and the fans jeer as Psycho Steve drops
to the mat while James Wright stands arms out wide and face titled to
the heavens, nodding in time with an invisible beat.]
Sully: The man is just unstoppable, you
cannot compete with someone as brilliant as James Wright, he is at a
different level.
JP: He thinks he is playing a different game
but really he is on the same field as everyone else and he'll find
that out very soon.
[Stacey Firestone looks on worriedly as James Wright begins to
cockily put the boot into Psycho Steve, really emphasising the
downward motion and he stamps on the groin of Psycho Steve to
rapturous jeers from the crowd and a scream from Stacey. James Wright
goes to cover Psycho Steve, not hooking the leg.....1......2....James
Wright releases the tension and laughs before slamming the back of
Psycho Steve's head into the canvas.]
Sully: Ring psychology, that is what James
Wright has, something that a lot of these young wrestlers
lack.
JP: Psycho Steve is a much better wrestler
when he gets outside the ring but we are in James Wright's
environment, this is Monday Night DynaWright at the moment.
Sully: So true, what a brilliant name it is,
the ratings really would increase if we changed the name of the
show.
JP: I hate it, so pretencious.
["The Perfect One" infuriates the fans as he pulls Psycho Steve to
his feet and irish whips him into the ropes...as Psycho Steve hits
the ropes "The Perfect One" starts running and hits the Canadian
Connection, a forearm that crashes into the face of Steve and sends
him crumbling to the mat. James Wright rolls over and leaps back up
to his feet, milking the boos and taunts of the hostile crowd. A big
"Canada Sucks!" chant is ringing around the arena as James Wright
snarls at the fans and goes for another cover on Psycho
Steve.....1.......2! Chad Pattison signals two as Psycho Steve
manages to roll the shoulder.]
Sully: That's more like it from Psycho
Steve, a bit of resiliance, he hasn't been in this match at
all.
JP: Give it time Sully, there is always a
comeback brewing. James Wright needs to have his teeth kicked out
after what he said about Psycho Steve earlier.
[Psycho Steve pants for breath as James Wright lifts him back to
his feet, James Wright attempts to send Steve towards the turnbuckle
but Psycho Steve to the delight of the crowd and Stacey Firestone
manages to turn the move around and he sends James Wright flying
towards the turnbuckle. "The Perfect One" connects with it and Psycho
Steve charges at the Canadian and the crowd roar as he throws his
full weight into a huge spear that slams James Wright's back against
the turnbuckle. "The Perfect One" sinks down with the pain as Psycho
Steve pulls James Wright by the hair and pushes him up to the second
rope. Psycho Steve climbs up and the crowd begin to roar as Psycho
Steve loops his arm around the neck of James Wright....the crowd gasp
and then cheer as James Wright is DDT'd from the second rope by
Psycho Steve. Stacey Firestone leads the crowd in a wild cheer as
Chad Pattison counts....1.....2.! James Wright shoots his arm up.]
Sully: Wahey! He's not down yet!
JP: James Wright's a lucky son of a bitch,
but a tough one at that.
[The crowd jeer loudly as James Wright sits up, rubbing his head,
Psycho Steve can't believe it as James Wright begins to get to his
feet, Steve roars and grabs James Wright and attempts to suplex him.
James Wright's feet won't budge from the crowd and Psycho Steve
suddenly finds himself being lifted up. James Wright leaves Steve up
in the air and brings him down with a huge hanging suplex...Psycho
Steve clutches his back in agony. James Wright pushes up from the
canvas and snarls at the crowd as he waits for Psycho Steve to get
up.]
Sully: This doesn't look good for Psycho
Steve, he's in a bit of a bad position right now.
JP: I'm not surprised, James Wright has
managed to wriggle his way out of yet another tight spot.
Sully: He always does, it's all about the
consistency and commitment that James Wright has to everything he
does, not just wrestling.
[Psycho Steve gets to his feet and is sent hurtling into the
turnbuckle, he slams against it and James Wright follows up quickly.
"The Perfect One" slams his knee into him, Stacey Firestone attempts
to get Steve to fight back but he slumps down even further as James
Wright keeps hammering away. Wright makes a signal to the crowd, he
points to the top rope and the crowd look confused.]
JP: This doesn't look good at all....
Sully: ....It's time for James Wright's
first ever MWF victory to be set in copyright!
[James Wright positions himself and begins to haul Psycho Steve up
to the top rope...the ropes wobble as James Wright gets Psycho Steve
up. He leaps off, pushing Steve between his legs and the crowd
explode in jeers as the CopyWright is hit and Steve smashes into the
canvas. James Wright rolls over and covers....1.....2.....3! The bell
sounds as James Wright gets to his feet as "I Am Canadian" hits the
PA system.]
JP: Damnit....damn him, James Wright manages
to get away with it.
Sully: Get away with it? That was a
controlled and skillful victory from James Wright, he always had the
win in the bag.
JP: He will never amount to anything in the
MWF, no matter how confident he thinks he is.
Peter Santos: And your winner, through pinfall, James
Wright!
