MWF Television Champion: "Troy Boy" Troy Knight w/The Bobster

versus

Wildfire

Non-Title Match

Referee: Chad Pattison

Writer: Dom Stoate

JP: And what a match we have here! It may not be a match for the title, but it is still going to be one hell of a match that we have on our hands here!

Sully: Although he left some time ago, Wildfire is no stranger to the MWF, and he is not going to let Troy Knight rule the roost tonight. Not without a fight, anyway!

JP: Of course not, but you have to believe that Troy Knight is going to treat this match as he would a title match. He is not going to give an inch and if Wildfire is coming into this match expecting a walk-over, then he is going to be taken by complete surprise, Sully.

Sully: And what makes you think that Wildfire would be so careless?

JP: I know the man, Sully.

Sully: And we both know what he is capable of in the ring. And we both know what power and strength he has.

JP: That he has, but I think that his cockiness might just let him down in the end.

[At this point, both men are standing in the ring, eyeing each other. Troy tests the ropes, title draped over his shoulder lazily as he glares at Wildfire, who smirks confidently in his corner.]

JP: You can't tell me that that isn't a smirk on the face of Wildfire. You can't tell me that he doesn't think that he's a superior man to the champion. Let me tell you, Troy Knight is the Champion, and in this match, Wildfire is the underdog because of that. He should wipe that smile off his face and learn his place, and fast.

[The bell rings and the two men skip about the ring, hands poised as they knit their brows together, ready to thrust themselves to each other in a grapple. Wildfire gets the upper hand, locking the headlock onto Troy Knight, who moves onto one knee. Wildfire nods in approval as he nods confidently, turning to the fans and screaming enthusiastically: 'WILDFIRE IS BURNIN', BABY!' This merits an audible amount of booing and shouts of resentment from the mass of fans, who glare at Wildfire, who smirks off the negative looks. Troy wriggles about a bit, at the same time as grabbing onto Wildfire's arm and twisting it up behind him. Wildfire cries out in shock and manages to unhook his arm quickly, twisting Wildfire and flipping him over in an arm bar, sitting across the arm and holding it there, pulling at it viciously. Troy cries out and grabs his arm around a near-by rope, breaking the hold. The referee manages to pull Wildfire off his opponent eventually, and Troy rolls under the rope, but not out of the ring, laying on the edge of apron, holding onto his arm, yelling curses. Wildfire stands up, putting his foot between the two bottom ropes and putting weight on Troy's jaw area. The referee breaks up the hold and Wildfire strays into the middle of the ring, arms raised as he nods, mocking the fans as he grins. As Troy moves under the bottom rope, Wildfire moves back towards him and begins to pick up to move up to his feet. Troy, for the moment, is almost like putty in his hands as Wildfire hooks him in for a suplex. Troy is landed on the back of his shoulders by the impact and Wildfire immediately hooks the leg for the quick cover.1…2..And Troy kicks out.]

Sully: The people of the MWF should really pay attention to the way that Wildfire is going about approaching this match. He is treating this match as if it was a title shot. He is being as serious about this singles match and-

JP: But what does he have in the reserve? What does he have to pull out of the cupboard for those title matches?

Sully: That's what's so great about him, JP! He has so much in reserve that he can afford to use his big guns now!

JP: Well, he is a talented young man, and does have the ability to pull the rug from beneath his opponents, so to speak. He is not unfamiliar to having to pull off a surprise win.

Sully: Nor is he unfamiliar with fighting his way through to the end and picking up a well-deserved win.

JP: If you say so.

[Troy sits up, holding the back of his head as Wildfire stands up, grabbing Troy by the hair as he does so. Troy Knight shows the first signs of staging a comeback when he lands an elbow or two to the gut of the smaller man, who, up to this point, seemed to be in control, using unusually powerful moves that were not, considering his size, usually part of his routine. Troy pulls his way out of the headlock and throws Wildfire in the direction of the ropes. Wildfire bounces off the ropes and Troy goes for a drop kick, but lands his kick only on air as Wildfire holds onto the ropes. Wildfire would move forwards, dropping with an elbow onto the collar area of Troy. He'd move to hook the leg for the pin.1…2…Troy gets his shoulder up.]

Sully: Can you see what pressure the Champion is under now? You see how he's having to struggle in this match already?

[Troy rolls onto his knees and hammers a forearm into the midsection of Wildfire, who stumbles backwards, backing off. Troy lunges forwards and knocks Wildfire onto his back with a clothesline. The fans start to get pumped up as Troy turns around and nails Wildfire again, who is knocked back onto his shoulders. The fans are getting really pumped up as Troy moves towards the turnbuckle, waiting for Wildfire to stand, who struggles up to a standing position. Troy darts forwards but only meets the opposite turnbuckle, head-first. Wildfire pulls him back, hitting him with a huge neck breaker! Wildfire hooks the leg and goes for yet another cover.1…2…And Troy Knight manages to get the shoulder up once again.]

JP: Wildfire can't quite keep Troy Knight down!

Sully: He's just warming up, that's all.

JP: Well, he better start getting serious, because we all know what a dangerous wrestler Troy Knight is if you give him time to warm up.

[Wildfire stands up, starting to look a little bit exasperated as he moves towards the referee, shouting at him angrily, leaning forwards towards the referee who backs off a bit. Troy scooches along the canvas, rolling Wildfire up for the pin.1…2…Wildfire kicks out furiously and both are up quickly, although Troy gets the upper hand, dropkicking Wildfire into the turnbuckle. The fans go mental as Troy moves to the opposite turnbuckle, stalking Wildfire as Wildfire struggles into a standing position. Troy runs forwards, landing a Heaven Sent! (spin kick to jaw.) Wildfire goes down and the fans go crazy. Troy goes for the cover quickly. 1….2….Wildfire gets his foot on the bottom rope! The fans sound let down. Troy stands up, watching Wildfire who struggles onto his feet again. Troy darts forwards again and lands a second Heaven Sent! Wildfire hits the canvas hard and Troy makes tracks for the nearest turnbuckle immediately. He'd climb up the turnbuckle, looking ready to land the rump-thump! He'd jump down in an attempt to land it, but Wildfire manages to pull himself out of the way, standing shakily, leaning on the ropes. Troy hits the canvas hard and kneels up again, straight into a dropkick which sends him from his knees onto his back again. Wildfire moves over towards the turnbuckle, the fans booing and jeering him as he goes up. He'd reach the top of the turnbuckle before leaping off it and landing The Crisis! (720 Splash.) He goes for the cover.1…..2…..Knight kicks out!]

JP: He kicked out! He did! He kicked out of The Crisis!

Sully: No way!

JP: Troy Knight managed to kick out of that devastating move somehow, and he is still very much in this match!

[Wildfire rolls onto his front, pounding his fist onto the canvas in frustration. He moves over to the ropes, not seeing Troy manage to rouse himself from the ground, tugging on the ropes in frustration. Troy leans on to the opposite ropes before running forwards and landing the head scissors, flooring Wildfire for the pin!1…2…Wildfire kicks out somehow! Troy lays on the canvas, breathing heavily, eyes closing as he groans in disbelief. Wildfire does not do much more than that, laying on the canvas also, face-down. Troy eventually moves up into a sitting position, moving over to Wildfire and begins to try to get him to his feet. Wildfire lashes out with a sharp knee to the lower midsection in a perfect low blow that is missed by the referee because of the angle. Troy doubles up and Wildfire leans back, bouncing off the ropes before performing a devastating neck breaker. He'd move for the cover quickly, not only hooking the leg but also getting his own onto the ropes behind him for leverage.1….2….3!]

Peter Santos: And your winner, through pinfall, Wildfire!

JP: Oh no!

Sully: Yes! He did it! He beat the champion!

JP: That low cheater! He first hits him with a blatant low blow before going for the cover with his feet on the ropes! That man doesn't deserve to be in the ring with Troy!

Sully: Wildfire deserves to be in the ring with Ace Spade, he has proved time and time again that he can cut it in the ring with anyone.

JP: He lacks something, and he makes up for missing that something by cheating his way to every win.

Sully: Not every win...and it's called ring awareness, and Chad Pattison's lack of it.

JP: Chad Pattison is a fool!

Sully: You couldn't referee a match if your life depended on it JP, you'd be knocked out straight away, especially if you were in the ring with Ace Spade.

JP: I'd show that MWF World Champion exactly who the top man in the MWF is.

Sully: I doubt Ace Spade would be scared of your round frame....he'd be more threatened by Insane Wayne.

JP: He is threatened by Ace Spade! Can't you see the fear in his eyes?

Sully: No I haven't seen any fear in the eyes of Ace Spade, all I have ever seen is confidence and maturity, the eyes of a champion.

JP: Ace Spade doesn't deserve to be the MWF World Champion either, tonight Insane Wayne is going to take his sorry ass and beat it from one end of Shelbyville to the other.

Sully: I doubt that JP, Wayne's quite a big man and he's got that weight advantage that can be so crucial...but unfortunatly he doesn't have the wrestling brain of Ace Spade, Wayne really is a neandrathol.
