Wildfire
versus
MWF Television Champion: "The Deadly One" Doomsday
Non-Title Match
Referee: Grant August
Writer: Jake Rhodes
JP: This is a big match coming up Sully. We
have Doomsday, the current Television champion, against Wildfire, a
former Television champion. It seems like Wildfire is still gunning
to get his title back.
Sully: Remember that a few weeks back
Wildfire was trying to goat Troy Knight into putting his title on the
line by using one of his finishers? Well it resulted in a triple
threat match between Troy Knight, Doomsday and Wildfire but it was
Doomsday who went home with the gold.
JP: Now Wildfire is out for another crack at
the whip, can Doomsday hold off the threat of Wildfire as he comes
gunning for his title?
Sully: Don't forget JP, this is a non-title
match but if Wildfire was able to pull out a victory from somewhere
then it'd be highly likely that President Walker would sanction a
match between the two for the MWF Television title.
JP: This will be a tough task for Wildfire
to complete though, he's nearly a foot short and one hundred pounds
smaller than Doomsday.
Sully: Plus Doomsday has backup in Twisted
Vizion. You know I'm not a big fan of them JP but I have to give
credit where it's due, they now how to watch each others
backs.
JP: The time for talking is over though, so
lets go ringside with Peter Santos.
[Peter Santos is the middle of the MWF ring with a microphone held
up to his lips. A solitary spotlight shines down on the announcer and
an intense buzz passes around the arena.]
Peter Santos: Ladies and gentlemen this is a non-title match
and is to be decided by one fall. Introducing first a former MWF
Television and Tag Team champion. He stands at 5'8 and weighs in at a
rough, cut 210 lbs…Wildfire!
["The Beautiful People" blares around the arena as the spotlight
leaves Peter Santos and sways to the entranceway. Wildfire walks out
wearing a pair of flaming shorts with a Metallica T-Shirt. He walks
down to the ring with a concentrated look in his eye. Wildfire jumps
over the tope rope and stretches while awaiting the arrival of his
opponent.]
Peter Santos: And now introducing the reigning MWF Television
champion. Hailing from New York City, standing at a towering 6'10 and
weighing in at 310 lbs. He is a member of Twisted Vizion…Here is "The
Deadly One" Doomsday!
[Doomsday immediately steps out of the entranceway in time to "You
Know You're Right" by Nirvana. He has the MWF Television title around
his waist, from the ring Wildfire is looking at the title with
desire. The crowd are on their feet as Doomsday steps over the top
rope, he undoes his title belt and raises it in the air. Doomsday
passes the belt to referee Charles Galliant. Galliant passes the belt
to a ringside assistant and calls for the timekeeper to ring the
bell.]
JP: Sully, as Wildfire, what would your
tactics be against Doomsday, a man nearly twice your size?
Sully: I'd run and I wouldn't look
back!
[Wildfire steps into the centre of the ring and raises his hand,
offering Doomsday a test of strength. A wry smile passes across the
lips of "The Deadly One" as he steps forward and the pair lock hands.
As soon as the grip is completed Wildfire throws himself back and
monkey flips Doomsday over his body. Doomsday jumps right back up and
charges at Wildfire but is sent down on his face by a drop toe hold.
Wildfire hits a leg drop over the back of Doomsday's neck which he
follows with a jumping elbow drop. While Doomsday gets back up
Wildfire sneaks up behind him and delivers a tackle to the back of
Doomsday's left knee. Doomsday drops down to one knee and Wildfire
delivers a stinging kick right to the side of his face. Wildfire
rushes over to the corner and jumps up to the top rope and perches
himself on the turnbuckle. After shaking the mist out of his brain
Doomsday gets up just as Wildfire launches himself from the pad and
dispenses a missile dropkick right on his left knee socket.]
Sully: That's exactly the tactics I'd use
JP, he's making sure the big man can't get to his feet. No matter how
tall you are everyone is the same height on the mat.
JP: I thought you said your tactics would be
to run?
Sully: Nah, that was only if I was forced to
watch that video you made of yourself. That type of stuff can leak
out over the internet you know!
[Wildfire stands over Doomsday and lifts up his left before
kicking him in the hamstring several times, with each kick Wildfire
adds a little more venom. With Doomsday in pain Wildfire locks up his
left knee in a spinning toe hold, referee Charles Galliant stands
over the action to see if Doomsday will submit.]
Sully: Doomsday is only a couple of feet
away from the safety of the bottom rope, I don't think he realises
where he is!
JP: That's exactly what happens Sully. Right
now Doomsday is clouded in pain, he cannot think straight as long as
Wildfire keeps working on the knee.
Sully: With all the weight that Doomsday has
to support on that knee it needs to be in good condition.
JP: That reminds me, you seem to be putting
on a few pounds Sully.
Sully: You know why that is? It's because
every time I sleep with your wife she gives me a biscuit!
[Wildfire releases his grasp on the spinning toe hold and turns
Doomsday over. With Doomsday led on his front Wildfire brings "The
Deadly One's" knee smashing into the mat three times in quick
succession. Wildfire begins to pull Doomsday by the knee as he drags
him over to the ropes and rests his left knee on the bottom rope.
Wildfire jumps up and lands right on Doomsday's knee, his entire
bodyweight landing on the joint. The fans are in an uproar as
Wildfire mocks Doomsday by limping around the ring before picking up
his knee and smashing it into the mat one more time. Wildfire picks
Doomsday up and delivers a shin breaker which has "The Deadly One"
hopping around before having his right leg taken away with a baseball
slide. Again Wildfire picks Doomsday up and places him in a front
face lock under his right arm. He raises his left arm to the crowd
before dropping back and delivering a DDT with Doomsday landing right
on the front of his face and bouncing onto his back. Wildfire looks
at his positioning before climbing to the top turnbuckle for the
second time. He shouts out "Crisis Time!" as he measure his
opponent.]
Sully: He's going to hit The Crisis JP, this
match is over! Doomsday hasn't event got an offensive move in!
[Wildfire jumps off the top rope and completes the 720 degree
rotation but Doomsday is able to drive his knees into Wildfire's gut.
Wildfire bounces off the knees and hold his gut in agony, trying to
suck some air back into his depleted lungs. Charles Galliant begins a
ten count. 1.….2.….3.….4.…5.….6 Doomsday uses the ropes to help
himself up while Wildfire is still floundering on the mat. Doomsday
hobbles around the ring, trying not to stress his left knee. He
stalks behind Wildfire who has finally struggled to his feet.
Groggily Wildfire turns around only to find a huge hand wrapped
around his throat as Doomsday delivers the Lock N Load chokeslam. The
crowd are on their feet as Doomsday makes the cover. 1.….2.…KICK
OUT!]
Sully: Wildfire kicked out of the Lock N
Load! Doomsday can't believe it!
[Doomsday slaps his hands against the mat in frustration while
Galliant assure him it was only a two count. Doomsday scoops Wildfire
up and executes a thunderous running power bomb, throwing Wildfire
out of the ring. Wildfire lands on the flat of his back while
Doomsday drops down holding his knee.]
JP: Wildfire's earlier attacks on Doomsday's
knee seem to have paid off. He's in the middle of the ring holding
his left knee.
Sully: He's fallen and he can't get
up!
[Charles Galliant begins to count out Wildfire while Doomsday
crawls over to the corner. 1.….2.….3.….4.….5.….6..Wildfire edges
closer to the ring apron…7.….8.Wildfire drags himself up by the ring
apron and rolls himself back in the ring. Wildfire is holding his
back as he looks at Doomsday who is slumped in to opposite corner.
Wildfire charges at Doomsday and attempt a running knee-to-face but
"The Deadly One" sways out of the way and as Wildfire bounces back
off the turnbuckle Doomsday hooks his arm around Wildfire and
executes a schoolboy pin. 1.….2..KICK OUT! The fans are at a fever
pitch. Doomsday hobbles as he picks Wildfire up by the throat before
whipping him into the ropes. Wildfire ducks a clothesline and then
slides under Doomsday's legs as he continues to run the ropes. Again
Wildfire tries to slide under Doomsday's legs but this time he is
stopped with a strong boot to the gut. With Wildfire doubled over
Doomsday takes his chance and hits the Shotgun! The crowd are jumping
up and down as Doomsday makes the pin. 1.….2.….3!]
Peter Santos: Your winner by way of pinfall…Doomsday!
JP: Doomsday came back from the brink of
defeat to beat Wildfire who really used some great tactics and can
consider himself unlucky to have lost this match.
Sully: In my opinion he deserves a title
shot on the strength of that performance alone, he kicked out of the
Lock N Load! I'm not sure if I've ever seen anyone do that!
JP: Time will tell if we'll see these two in
the ring together again. I sure hope they will after they put on this
magnificent match tonight!
Sully: Wildfire looks distraught and I'm not
surprised, he just can't seem to find that winning feeling at the
moment.
JP: Another win for "Twisted Vizion", you
get the feeling that tonight is very much their night.
Sully: Damn them to hell, they always try to
run Dynamite and one day someone will step up and wipe them
out.
JP: Like who? You think Scotty Heart can do
it?
Sully: He's got the potential to...James
Wright is another.
JP: We'll have to see later on. James Wright
was scheduled for a match tonight in a MCPW Challenge Match but that
had to be cancelled when the "powers that be" could not find an
opponent for "The Perfect One".
Sully: You should have seen the look on
Wright's face when he was told the match was cancelled, he was
furious JP! He threw President Walker's desk to one side and stormed
out of the room like a bear with a sore head!
JP: Well instead James has said he will come
out here tonight on Dynamite and give an interview in front of these
legions of MWF fans.
