"The King" Sam King

versus

"The Stuntman" Shawn Richards

Singles Match

Referee: Grant August

Sully: Time for Sam King to kick some backside!

JP: And to reiterate Sully's biased commentary, it's time for the Sam King versus Shawn Richards match.

Sully: It's gonna be a squash. "The King" is fuming right now &endash; it wouldn't surprise me if Richards doesn't get a move in.

JP: Don't take the "Stuntman" too lightly, I'm sure he has considered King's state of mind.

["Not Enough" by Our Lady Peace hits the PA and sends the crowd into disarray. Everyone stands and jeers "The Dramatist" who shrugs off the boos and walks down the ramp.]

Peter Santos: Weighing in at 240 pounds…from Victoria, Texas…"The King"…"The Dramatist"…Sam King!

[He circles the ring and gets in the faces of the front row fans.]

Sully: King ain't afraid of anybody!

JP: Be realistic, Sully. King is twice the size of anyone at front row.

[King rolls into the ring where Referee Chad Pattison awaits. Sam taunts the crowd as Pattison attempts to check the wrestler for foreign objects.]

Sully: Checking for weapons? They hardly never do that nowadays…

JP: Sam King can't be trusted "nowadays," Sully.

Sully: I'd trust him with my life…and my wife for that matter!

[To the tune of "Saliva" by Superstar, Shawn Richards walks onto the entrance platform to a huge ovation.]

Peter Santos: And his opponent, known to all as the "Stuntman"…weighing in at 221 pounds…Shawn Richards!

[Shawn stops midway down the ramp and turns to the curtain, giving a subtle nod. He then turns back to the hungry Sam King ,who tenses up in the ring.]

Sully: Who the hell was Richards looking for?

JP: Beats me, Sully.

[Richards picks up pace and runs to the ring. He slides under the ropes as the bell rings and King is ready with a quick leg drop over the back of Richards' head. Richards' head hits the mat and King rolls him over in an inside cradle. 1…2…kick out! Richards scrambles up and fends off several kicks to the waist. He takes King's leg and hits a dragon scissors, spinning "The Dramatist" to the floor. Richards goes for a figure-four leg lock but King shoves the opponent away and flips to his feet. Richards comes straight back with a dropkick that King barely dodges. With the "Stuntman" grounded King takes the opportunity to plant firm stomps into his head. Richards rolls from the ring and gathers his bearings. Sam steps onto the apron and springs off the ropes, hitting an Asai moansault to the outside! The crowd respond with a "woah" as King climbs to his feet and takes Richards to the inside of the ring. With Shawn still prone, King lifts him and hits a quick scoop slam, followed by another leg drop. He goes for the cover. 1…2…shoulder up! King lifts Richards and whips him into the ropes. Richards hits and comes back with a flying clothesline, taking Sam King to the mat.]

Sully: King is keeping his cool, damnit! I want him to lose it and go for the steel chair!

JP: And what good would that do?

Sully: Alotta good, actually!

[Richards lifts King and hits an arm drag. With King disposed of, the "Stuntman" ascends the ropes. King slowly stirs and then stands. He stumbles across the ring as Richards leaps into the air for a cross body. The move connects but the momentum takes Richards over onto his shoulders. King covers. 1…2…shoulder up! King lifts Richards onto one knee and hits the ropes. He comes back with speed and hits a bulldog, followed by a standing moansault. He rolls the "Stuntman" up, whilst Pattison drops to his knees. 1…2…King releases the pin!]

JP: What the hell is King doing? He had the chance to add another victory to his repertoire but dropped it all to kick some more ass?

Sully: That's exactly right! Sam King doesn't give a damn about winning this one now, he just wants to release some anger.

[King pulls Richards up and locks up Richard's arm. He goes for a jumping arm lock takedown but Richards evades the arm-breaking manoeuvre and throws King to the mat. King jumps straight back up and throws fists aplenty. Richards hits the ropes and ducks a clothesline. He hits the ropes again and dodges another clothesline. After a final bounce off the ropes the "Stuntman" hits "The King" with a spear!]

JP: That was "Complete Stunning," Sully! And it's about time we saw Shawn's finish &endash; The Definition!

[Richards climbs to the top rope and the crowd buzz as he holds his elbow high. He springs into the air and drops with the big elbow heading for King's heart…but King rolls! Richards elbow drives full-on into the canvas. He grasps his entire arm as Sam King exits the ring whilst angrily slamming his knuckle into the ring post. Blood trickles down his arm as he smiles and ducks under the ring. A moment later he resurfaces with a steel chair! He rolls into the ring and raises it high above his head, as Richards rolls on the mat. Referee Pattison stands before King and waves his hands, pleading with "The Dramatist" to reconsider his actions.]

JP: Well, Sam is certainly "dramatising" his situation. Why not just finish the match?

Sully: Where's the fun in that?

[King jumps in Pattison's face and glares. His eyes bulge as Pattison cowers into the corner of the ring. King shoves him down and turns back to Richards. He smiles and lifts the chair again. Suddenly, Anarkist leaps over the crowd barrier and slides into the ring. He throws a fist but King blocks it with the chair and brings the steel down across Anarkist's head! The MWF Champion goes down to the mat, whilst Shawn Richards stands. King turns back to his opponent and brings the chair highly, only to have it superkicked into his face! Richards beams as the cheers of the crowd rush across the arena. The bell sounds as Chad Pattison leaves the ring.]

Peter Santos: The winner of this match, due to a disqualification…Sam King!

[A short burst of jeers are overridden as The Jeopardizer runs down the ramp and slides into the ring. He looks at Richards, who looks back and smiles. The two men shake hands and help Anarkist to his feet. The three men stand over King's inclined body and raise their arms triumphantly.]

JP: Do I see a new alliance in the MWF!?

Sully: All I see is treachery!

[The crowd cheer like crazy as Anarkist looks to the "Stuntman" and points to the top rope. Both men nod as Jay-Z raises his arms to the crowd. Richards climbs to the top rope and makes a quick dive, hitting a picturesque Definition!]

JP: In all my years as a commentator, I've never seen such a "defined" elbow drop! That, Sully, is the true Definition!

[Jay-Z exits the ring and takes the microphone from Pete Santos. He throws the mike over the rope. It's caught by Anarkist, who responds to the crowds cheers, as Jay-Z climbs back in.]

Anarkist: The few thousand fans standing for the three of us tonight, and the millions watching back at home…have just witnessed a glimpse into the Chaotic Future!!

[The cheers rise to the rafters as Richards high-fives Jay-Z.]

Anarkist: And now…please welcome MWF's General Manager…Fozzy!

[The crowd cheer as "Debaser" by The Pixies hits the PA system. General Manager Fozzy walks onto the entrance ramp to a warm set of cheers. He strolls down the ramp and climbs the ringsteps into the ring.]

Sully: What's Fozzy got to do with this?

[Fozzy is met with a handshake from Anarkist who hands him the microphone.]

Fozzy: Hello people, I'm gonna keep this short and sweet, just like the lovely Laura Walker…[huge laughs and cheers]…but here goes…the last minutes actions just cemented the stardom of three the wrestlers Jay-Z, Shawn Richards and Anarkist. Lead by myself, these three wrestlers will be…the Weapons of Mass Destruction!!!

[A huge ovation shudders through the building as Anarkist, Richards and Jay-Z ascend their individual top ropes and raises their arms.]

Fozzy: George Bush can forget Saddam Husein and his nuclear facilities…GM Fozzy and the Weapons of Mass Destruction are about to take over the world!!!

JP: Wow what a match, and my god, the MWF is never going to be the same again after that announcement.....

Sully: I can't believe it, I just can't believe it...Sam King and Wildfire are up against it now.

JP: The MWF's top wrestlers seem to be joining together and it's all under the guidance of General Manager Fozzy.

Sully: Man's a germ, he's just gathering all the rotten meat in this Federation together.

JP: Well he's created a force that I don't think many will want to compete against...MWF World Champion, Anarkist, MWF Xtreme Champion The Jeopardizer and the new talent that is "The Stuntman" Shawn Richards.

Sully: It's great to see that after all this time that Fozzy does still have an eye for bad talent!

JP: Bad talent, how can you call two MWF Champions, bad?

Sully: They're failures really, The Jeopardizer lost his best friend and Anarkist sold his soul to get that MWF World Title.

JP: Sound his soul?

Sully: He turned good, bring back the old Anarkist, the man who used to beat the shit out of Ross Allen...but then just came up beaten everytime.

JP: Well he wasn't very successful!

Sully: But he was entertaining, that's what is important.

JP: Tell you what will be entertaining...the Main Event tonight, Wildfire and The Jeopardizer one on one.

Sully: After seeing "WMD" form up I wouldn't be suprised if something is going to happen...

JP: We could see Wildfire having to fight the numbers game, he's an experienced wrestler so I am sure he'll be able to handle it.

Sully: Or maybe we could actually see The Jeopardizer doing it for himself this time, that would be something to see!

[The cameras switch backstage, Wildfire is in his locker room, nursing a few bumps from moments ago when he was beaten by "WMD"...there is a knock at the door and "The Headliner" Hart Evans walks in.]

Wildfire: What the hell are you doing in here?

Evans: Just came to wish my tag team partner the best of luck tonight.

[There is more than a drop of sarcasm in the voice of Evan's, Wildfire frowns.]

Wildfire: I don't need your luck.

Evans: I think you do, tonight you are up against the odds....you know that "WMD" are going to be a power in the MWF.

Wildfire: What are you getting at?

Evans: One man can't beat them, let alone two...they have the power of the MWF General Manager on their side, what fucking chance do we have?

Wildfire: We have our pride, we haven't sold out to some management scheme.

Evans: Why are you telling me this?

Wildfire: I don't know.

Evans: It's because you know that although we were enemies we share some of the common goals.

Wildfire: I want to be successful...

Evans: So do I.

[There is a silence that fills the room, the door slowly swings on its hinges as if moved by an invisible hand....Hart Evan's looks Wildfire clean in the eye.]

Evans: You know when you go out there tonight that the fans are going to hate you, you might want them to like you but the truth is Wildfire, they never will like you. You're nothing but a crazy nut to them, you jump off cages to beat the "Canadian Connection" of course they're going to like you for that.

Wildfire: But I'm facing The Jeopardizer...

Evans: You're beginning to understand, we don't get very far in life on our own, that's something that me and Rick realised when we started the MWF....and you are on your own Wildfire, you've always been on your own.

Wildfire: You want to be a proper tag team don't you?

Evans: I know you're not a Canadian, but you have the same fire...

Wildfire: A wild one...

Evans: Yes, a fire that burns to bring something true and just to the MWF and stop all this gloss which tarnishes the MWF. We are tag team partners, whether we like it or not.

Wildfire: I saw your run-in with Kidd earlier, why did you do it?

Evans: A number of reasons, the main one being that he still calls himself the 'Ruthless Rookie' well I've been watching him and he sure isn't a rookie....no rookie goes four and zero in the MWF without some degree of experience.

Wildfire: I see what you mean. What do you want me to do about it?

Evans: I'll watch your back if you watch mine.

[Evans extends a hand, looking rather proud and he makes sure the MWF Tag Team Title is almost glowing in the light...Wildfire looks Evans in the eyes and then at the gold, he smiles, a nervous and rather uneasy smile and gently shakes the hand of "The Headliner".]

Evans: Good luck tonight.

[Evans gives Wildfire a slap on the back, before leaving the room, Wildfire turns and looks at himself in the mirror and an almost evil smile has now replaced his nervousness.]

Wildfire: What have I done? What have you done? Haha...tonight we spread a wildfire through The Jeopardizer and we show the MWF that "WMD" aren't as big as they claim to be.

[Wildfire looks at himself, the two titles on his shoulders and he continues to smile as he leaves the room, and we cut back to JP and Sully.]

JP: I don't like the look of that one bit...how can those two men even contemplate shaking hands after what happened last week between Wildfire and Rick Jones.

Sully: Because they're doing business and business is ruthless...and Wildfire and Hart Evans know that.

JP: "WMD" though, they look unbeatable, perhaps Wildfire and Hart Evans is the beginning of a resistance.

Sully: Every great army will always have to go against another, it always happens, "WMD" can't just expect to steamroll through the MWF and expect no one to stand up and be counted.

JP: I hope that they do steamroll through the MWF, it's about time the MWF got a team like "WMD" not afraid to beat the hell out of those freaks who think they're talented, like Wildfire.

Sully: He must have some talent, besides you were praising him last week!

JP: I won't be praising him tonight, "Jay-Z" is going to walk all over him, he can douse the flames.

Sully: We'll just have to see about that!
