Joe Timberlake versus Corey Letson, Singles Match

[MWF comes back from commercial. Corey Letson stands in the ring, jumping up and down, thrusting his fists forward.]

JP: Now, a match between two newcomers, Sully.

Sully: I can't wait to see these guys beat the crap out of each other!

Peter Santos: Standing in the ring, weighing in at 245lbs, at a height of 6ft 4… Corey Letson!

[Referee Grant August climbs into the ring. Joe Timberlake runs to ringside, eager to make an impact.]

Peter Santos: Hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, weighing in at 218lbs… Joe Timberlake!

[The bell sounds, as Timberlake slides into the ring. As Corey Letson approaches, the much smaller JT hits a kick to the gut. He goes for a second, but Letson catches the leg. Timberlake manages to double-counter by hitting a single-leg dropkick with his free foot. Letson staggers back but doesn't go down. JT jumps for the hurracanrana, however "The Grate White Dope" firmly holds the lightweight on his shoulders and slams him down in a powerbomb, knocking the wind from his lungs. He kneels by Timberlake's side and places his big forearm over his face. Referee August makes the count. 1…2…kick out!]

Sully: Looks like big Letson is gonna throw JT around for a while! Hooray!

JP: Have some compassion, Sully!

[Corey Letson takes a step back. JT finds his feet and looks up through a glazed lens. Letson swings his right elbow but JT just manages to avoid it. Letson swings his left, this time clipping JT's scalp. The final swing, right elbow takes Joe in the temple, knocking him into the ropes. Corey Letson whips his opponent against the opposite ropes. As he speeds back, he receives a swinging arm drag from Timberlake.]

Sully: Damn it! Letson should learn to knock Timberlake out of the air everytime he goes for an aerial attack.

[Letson goes down and slides to the outside, regaining his wariness. Timberlake leaps over the ropes, but Letson dives from the danger zone. JT lands hard on the mats. "The Grate White Dope" picks up his antagonist and throws him shoulder-first into the metal guard barriers. The crowd jeer as JT cries in pain. Letson takes it one step further, throwing Joe Timberlake into the crowd!]

JP: Get him outta' there!

[The fans help JT back over the barrier. Letson is there, ready to attack once again. He swings JT onto his shoulder, and turns to the ring post.]

Sully: Looks like we're gonna' see blood from Timberlake…

[Letson charges at the post, only to see Timberlake wriggle free. Corey hits the ring post himself - his forehead connecting with the steel.]

JP: Looks like Corey Letson's the one to lose the blood tonight!

[Blood immediately oozes from the incision. Joe climbs back into the ring and awaits his foe. Corey Letson jumps back in. Unaware the blood soaks his sweat brow. He jumps at JT, but stops, as the thick red liquid drips over his eyes. He becomes sightless. Timberlake takes advantage. He hits Letson with a flurry of speedy kicks and punches. The bigger man goes into the corner. JT steps back, and then runs at "Dope." He hits a running body splash. Letson wobbles to the centre of the ring before falling to the mat. JT climbs to the top rope. The crowd cheer as he jumps into the air and comes down with a huge leg drop. He covers. 1…2… shoulder up!]

JP: Ooooh!

[JT stands, holding his abdomen. Corey Letson climbs up a moment later. With Timberlake already doubled over, Letson steps up to him and lifts his waist for the Dope Driver… it connects! Placing all his body weight over JT, Corey smirks as August slams his palm to the mat. 1…2…3!]

Peter Santos: And your winner… Corey Letson!

Sully: Corey Letson looked good there, a great win.

JP: Timberlake was pathetic, I was expecting more from the guy.

Sully: The only river he'll be crying is one of blood!

JP: But it is Letson who's bleeding?

Sully: Shut up! Don't ruin my joke!

JP: Okay Sully, whatever you say, but I must say, Corey Letson is a future star in this federation there is no doubt about that.

Sully: Yep, and it was good to see the crowd getting into this match, these guys need the confidence.
