Diamond
versus
"The Ultra Star" Shane Impact w/Mansworth
Singles Match
Referee: Chad Pattison
JP: Sully, let's talk about the next match.
Diamond versus Shane Impact.
Sully: Shane didn't have much to say on
television...
JP: Then, he better be prepared to say a lot
in the ring. That's where it counts and that determines how far you
will go.
Sully: Diamond has already had a loss
here.
JP: And a loss will do two things to you:
Make your work harder to earn the win, or discourage you from the
game. To make it in the MWF, you have to have the former
mentality.
Sully: I agree, but a loss takes away from
your momentum. Also, Diamond is neutral. That seems like a weak
stance to me.
JP: I think he's being smart, keeping his
options open for what may come down the line.
Sully: Well, Shane Impact is here now, and I
think he may surprise Diamond and the MWF world.
Peter Santos: The following contest is scheduled for one fall.
One his way to the ring first, from Miami, Florida and weighing in at
276 pounds, DIAMOND!!!
["Diamonds Are Forever" hits the speakers. The crowd has mixed
reactions towards Diamond, though some definite cheers are heard,
remembering his recent effort against The Ginga. Diamond walks down
the ramp and steps through the middle rope into the ring. His eyes
stare, determined, at the stage where Impact will come from.]
Peter Santos: And his opponent, from West Chester,
Pennsylvania, weighing in at 211 pounds and being accompanied by
Mansworth, "The Ultra Star" SHANE IMPACT!!!!
["Inhuman Creation Station" by CKY hits the speakers. Impact
appears on stage, with Mansworth, dressed in a suit and carrying a
black briefcase, standing behind him. Shane nods, and Mansworth walks
in front of Shane, warning fans to stay away. Shane goes to shake a
fan's hand, but pulls his hand away and laughs at the embarrassed
youngster. Referee Pattison tries to check the briefcase, but Shane
attacks Diamond from behind and his attention is drawn to the match.
The bell rings, signaling the start of the contest.]
Sully: What a move by Impact! He may not be
the cleanest guy around, but he has the advantage now.
JP: Just remember, Sully. Someone who
attacks from behind will wind up getting bitten in the ass
themselves.
[Shane starts pounding away on Diamond in the corner, but Diamond
is quick to reverse it and start pounding at Shane! Diamond hits a
series of rights, before connecting with a DDT that brings Impact to
the floor! Diamond gets a few kicks in, before Impact slides out of
the ring to regroup. The crowd jeers loudly at this act of cowardice.
Mansworth climbs to the apron on the other side, and Diamond
approaches him, ready to strike. However, Shane uses to opportunity
to slide back into the ring, and clobber Diamond with an elbow to the
back of the head. Impact wastes no time, planting Diamond to the mat
with and old school Tiger Driver. Impact leaps into the air and goes
for a jumping leg drop, but Diamond rolls out of the way. Impact
favors his right leg for a moment, and Diamond to attack it with
fierce stomps. Diamond lifts Impact up in the air, and sends him
crashing to the mat near the ropes with a powerbomb. Diamond takes
Shane's right leg, and places it over the middle rope. Them Diamond
quickly ascends the top turnbuckle!]
Sully: What is that idiot Diamond
thinking?
JP: I'm not sure, Sully, but I don't like
what the future holds for Impact.
[Diamond jumps down to the arena floor, on his way down, he grabs
Impact's outstretched leg, using the middle rope as fulcrum to snap
it downwards! Impact convulses in pain in the ring, and Pattison
turns his back on Diamond to check on him. Mansworth measures Diamond
as he gets up, and levels him with the briefcase!]
Sully: Hey, Mansworth isn't in this
match!
JP: Are these the amazing things we can
expect from Shane Impact, Sully?
Sully: Impact shouldn't need that servant of
his to do his work - he can beat Diamond on his own.
[Impact sees Diamond go down, and shrugs off some of the pain in
his leg as he slides out to the arena floor. Impact grabs Diamond's
head, hops into the air, trying for a 180 degree spinning DDT.
However, Diamond catches him and sets him back down on the ground. He
quickly punches Impact in the stomach and suplexes him! Impact
crashes to the arena floor, and Diamond measures him as he gets back
up. Diamond charges at Shane with a clothesline, but Shane counters
with a drop toe-hold that sends Diamond crashing into Mansworth! All
of a sudden, Shane limps a little to the turnbuckle, and slowly
climbs it.]
JP: What is Shane planning on?
Sully: I think he's gonna fly, JP!
[Shane jumps off the top rope, going for a cross body splash!
However, Diamond moves out of the way, and Mansworth is once again
the sacrificial lamb!]
Sully: that's what he gets for behind
Impact's servant!
JP: I thought you liked Impact?
Sully: Maybe, but that manager of his seems
like a huge annoyance, and nothing else. Shane has way too much skill
to need someone like that.
JP: Maybe, he thinks he has so much class
that he deserves a servant?
[Diamond lays some boots into Shane, before rolling him into the
ring. He whips Impact into the ropes, trying for a clothesline!
However, Shane ducks, keeps running, hits the ropes and comes back
with a huge Yakuza Kick! Shane drops to the ground immediately,
however, he seems to have injured his right leg again! Slowly, he
gets to his feet, and, putting all his weight on his left foot, lifts
Diamond into the air for a Sitout Powerbomb! However, the kick wasn't
enough to knock Diamond out, and Diamond counters with a
Hurricanrana! Shane is throws close to the ropes as Diamond takes a
breather. As Pattison checks on Diamond, Mansworth crawls over to
where Impact lies. He opens the briefcase, and hands Impact a pair of
brass knuckles from inside. Shane quickly hands the hand under his
stomach. Mansworth climbs up on the apron, getting Pattison's
attention! Shane slowly gets back to his feet, but not before
Diamond, who doesn't see the brass knuckles! Diamond grabs Shane for
a powerbomb, but Shane rams the knuckles into Diamond's head!]
Sully: That isn't right! Shane, why are you
doing this? You can win it on your own?
JP: I think "your man" is nothing more than
an average low-life cheater.
[Diamond crumbles to the floor, and Impact throws the knucks to
the outside. He goes for a cover, but the referee is still arguing
with Mansworth. All of a sudden, Pattison points Mansworth backstage,
and the crowd roars in delight as Mansworth is ejected!]
JP: Good riddance.
Sully: I agree, for once. Impact can win
this by himself.
JP: Sure, after the brass knuckle
shot!
[Impact gets off Diamond to argue about Mansworth's ejection. Once
the ref tells him it's final, he turns back to Diamond, who is slowly
getting to his feet at this point. Shane measures Diamond, and
connects with THE RAPTURE!!!]
JP: Rock bottom onto a knee! That can only
mean he's going for his finisher!
Sully: I've heard his finisher was a very
feared maneuver when Shane was in the indies.
[Shane climbs the top rope, and launches off for THE WINDOW
LICKER! The crowd gasps as Shane does a shooting star press that ends
in a leg drop position! However, Diamond moves at the last second,
and Shane crashes down, most of his weight slamming onto his right
leg!]
Sully: Oh no! I think Shane may have broken
his knee!
JP: If Diamond was ever going to seize the
day, not is the time! Shane is hurting!
[Diamond sees the opening, and drags Shane to the center of the
ring. He locks in a Figure Four Leg Lock, putting the pressure on
Shane's right leg! After a few agonizing moments, Shane's hands slams
to the mat! The bell rings.]
Peter Santos: Here is your winner by submission, Diamond!
JP: Impact took a huge risk, and he'll take
a loss for it.
Sully: It's that idiot Mansworth's fault.
Shane had Diamond pinned, but he had to attend to his stupid
servant!
JP: Let's not forget that pin resulted from
a pair of brass knuckles. Shane got what he deserved.
Sully: Shane is a first class superstar, and
what he deserves is a first class manager to accompany him, not that
fool Mansworth.
JP: Diamond is the first class superstar in
my eyes! He saw the opening, Shane's right leg, and expanded it
enough to earn him a win here. And he DIDN'T cheat. Just like I told
you, Sully. If you attack from behind, it comes back to bite you in
the...
Sully: Just don't say another word. Impact's
debut was ruined by a silly manager with a silly briefcase. Let's
just move on.
["Diamonds Are Forever" hits the speakers as Diamond celebrates
his first MWF victory, the fans cheering loudly as Diamond climbs the
turnbuckle and raises his arms in joy and truimph. Shane Impact
hobbles to his feet, Mansworth helping him...he leans heavily on his
left leg to take the pressure off the right.]
JP: I'm sure Shane's leg will be okay
eventually, it's his own fault for thinking he could take out
Diamond.
Sully: I'm not impressed, Shane Impact
should of had that match won, fair and square.
JP: Face it Sully, he just wasn't good
enough to pick up the win.
Sully: He will get good enough, you mark my
words...we haven't seen the last of Shane Impact and
Mansworth.
JP: I hope you're wrong, they are a terrible
duo, terrible wrestler and a terrible manager.
Sully: How can you say that? Shane Impact's
deadly when he gets the right chance, but Diamond got the luck in the
match and so came out with a win. If Impact had hit the Window Licker
this would all be over by now and we'd be celebrating a Shane Impact
victory.
JP: But he didn't win so unfortunatly we
can't celebrate Shane Impact winning anything, such a shame as I am
sure you like some of those at home really thought he was going to
win.
Sully: I still don't know what this damn
Zinge thing is, Diamond seems intent to confuse all of us.
JP: He's off in his own world half the time,
but when he gets in the ring he's able to take it to another level
and you've got to respect him for that.
Sully: We're going to see some respect
tonight, well maybe a lack of to be more precise when "Kronik" try to
take out another member of "Twisted Vision" when they go against
Iniquity and Seth Caliko.
JP: Seth Caliko and Iniquity are going to
wipe the floor with "Kronik", you've seen them this week...they've
been pumped up like mad men.
Sully: It's all come about because poor
little Insane Wayne was injured by Mak and now Iniquity blames
"Kronik".
JP: And so he should! Mak was reckless and
Wayne got hurt, he needs to be taught a lesson and Iniquity tonight
is going to give "Divine Intervention" a real lesson in
wrestling.
Sully: Iniquity isn't going to wrestle, he's
out there to try and kill "Kronik" but he hasn't counted on Stoate
being at ringside and the potential danger of that.
JP: He has, Doomsday will be watching
"Twisted Vision" in the ring and we all know Doomsday once he gets
going is a hard man to stop...plus "Twisted Vision" have a new member
just waiting in the wings.
