[The camera opens up to a blast of white pyro...red fireworks come down from
the roof and explode inside the white pyro to create the image of the Japanese
flag in the centre of the ring. The MWF logo has the Japanese flag behind it and
the capacity crowd go wild as the MaxiTron flickers into action and shows the
crowd cheering. We join our commentary team at ringside of John Pilkington and
Tim Sullivan.]
JP: Hello all and welcome to Osaka, Japan. Thanks to
everyone around the world for tuning in, those here in Japan and back home in
the United States.
Sully: Konichi-wa, what a fantastic opportunity this is.
JP: We're here in Japan for three very special shows that mark the MWF's
first ever Japanese appearances and I know the entire roster is pumped about
being here.
Sully: I know I want to make the best impression I can, have you tasted some
of the fine cuisine yet?
JP: Indeed! This is a fantastic place...I had quite possibly the best meal of
my life last night.
Sully: That's high praise coming from you JP that's for sure, you've had a
lot of meals.
JP: Heh...shall we get this show into gear?
Sully: Hell yeah! Monday Night Dynamite, live from Osaka, Japan...and we've
got a host of matches tonight that will whet the appetite.
JP: The main event will see Steven Douglas in a tough test, against his
former friend Insane Wayne and Wayne's little buddy Gunman Stinger.
Sully: The MWF Television Champion is pure class, I really like the guy.
JP: I don't know why. Loads of people seem to like him but they overlook he's
a quality wrestler who holds the second most important belt in the MWF.
Sully: I'm getting news we've got a segment incoming, shall we take a look
JP?
JP: Sure will...
[The MWF cameras take us backstage into a dark and empty room, the only
moment in the room is of a dim swing light bulb. They have light bulbs in Japan?
Wow anyway, it seems this room is empty we might as move on. As the camera
begins to pan away the light bulb stops its left and right orbit around the
room.]
Voice: Just because it seems there is no one is around,
does not mean there is not someone wait in the darkness. I have been waiting in
the darkness for many years now, oh so many years you might not remember who I
am. I am the head disciple of The Black Night. I am here tonight take all of
your souls away and converted them to my lord and master The Black Night. But
this is only one of two things I will be doing tonight, for tonight is an
important night for the head disciple. Tonight I going into a wrestling ring in
Osaka, Japan
[Crowd give a bit of a cheer for a mention of their city.]
Seraph: But this is not any wrestling ring, this is a
wrestling ring where the ropes have been taken away and replaced with barbwire.
Barbed wire was designed by a man called Joseph Glidden in Kalb, Illinois. A
wire designed to control men and women from drinking water from rivers in greedy
farmers ranches. Now this barbed wire is going to be used to control two men and
one head disciple in a battle that will decide who will become the next
challenger for MWF's Xtreme Championship. Barbed wire has been given many names
but tonight I feel this one fits it the best the Devil's rope . Monday February
21st 2005 will stick into the minds of wrestling fans everywhere as the Devil#s
rope is used in an over the top rope triple threat, the Devil s Rope will decide
who is worthy of the number one
contendership but I will decide whose soul is worthy to survive this torture.
[Seraph squeezes tightly onto the light bulb smashing into many pieces sending
the scene into darkness.]
JP: He's a freaky bastard is that Seraph.
Sully: I like him, he's got something about him that screams future champion.
JP: I have reservations. We have had so many false dawns, and I just wonder
if he can live up to the class of Steven Douglas.
Sully: "The Enervator" has set the standard for all talent arriving in the
MWF from MSW...and Seraph will be looking to follow that benchmark.
JP: I like Douglas, but I don't like Seraph. It's just too dark and scary.
Sully: The Japanese crowd seemed to have warmed to the guy, and he will of
course be in action later tonight against ViperJ and Stud.
JP: ViperJ, now there is a respected wrestler. He is a talent and a half.
Sully: I'm hearing only good things about ViperJ, I just hope the hype
doesn't go to his head.
JP: I'm sure it won't, he seems a level headed guy.
Sully: I'll be interested to see when that wedding is, I wonder if we'll get
an invite.
JP: We'd better do! We sat there and watched the moment he proposed to Jane.
Sully: Ah lovely Jane.
JP: We're going to take a short break now and we'll be back with Doomsday
against The Hobo.
Sully: The Hobo and Doomsday looking to settle an old score.
