[The scene opens to the city of Manchester, where the Maximum
Wrestling Federation is holding their last Dynamite before their big
pay per view, March Madness. Reporter Ian Gonzales is seen standing
in the parking garage of the arena the federation is occupying,
seemingly waiting for someone to arrive. The wind is harsh, forcing
Gonzales to wear a large coat as he awaits for the person to arrive.
After a long while of standing, eventually a limousine pulls up near
Gonzales and stops by his feet. The windows are tinted so the
occupant, or occupants, cannot be seen. Ian walks over to the door
where the limousine driver is walking to after leaving the vehicle,
and steps back as the driver slowly opens the door. Gonzales stands
in anticipation as a tall, slender and a bit aged man walks out of
the limousine. As the reporter waits, he sees the man who exit s the
vehicle and sighs in sadness, showing that the man, who is turns out
to be British actor John Cleese, is not who he was looking for.]
John Cleese: Well, when my good friend Edward Walker invited me
backstage for tonight s show, I had no idea that I would be doing an
interview! I am so unprepared, oh well it is alright, we ll just wing
it this time. Ready? Three, two, one, action!
Ian Gonzales: Uh, with all due respect
sir
John Cleese: Come on lad, we're rolling!
Ian Gonzales: But sir
John Cleese: Oh fine, I will start it then! Hello to all of my
fans out there in wrestling land, this is your old pal John Cleese
here backstage at Dynamite in the United Kingdom!
[The fans give a loud cheer as multiple people begin to yell,
Monty Python rules! in the crowd.]
John Cleese. Now when my dear chum Edward Walker allowed me to
come here, I naturally expected an interview, so I have a little
speech prepared. Hmm, let s see, well, I would like to take this
moment to thank some of my good friends out there for helping me with
my career, my mum, cannot forget about her, God, of course God he is
the...
[Before he could finish that statement another limousine pulls up
right next to Cleese, getting so close that it taps him in the leg.
This vehicle too has tinted windows, so the persons inside cannot be
seen. Instead of the driver opening the door, the person inside opens
it themselves, with the camera focused on the open door a shoe and an
ankle is seen below the door, a crocodile skin shoe, and then the
rest of the person's body is revealed, showing a shirt worthy of Las
Vegas and the Television championship draped around this man, Steven
Douglas shoulder. The Enervator walks up to Gonzales and Cleese
during their interview .]
Ian Gonzales: Just the man I was looking
for.
John Cleese: I thought this was my interview!
Ian Gonzales: Well, it was never meant for
y...
Steven Douglas: What he is trying to say is
that you should get to your box suite now.
[Cleese walks away with a disgruntled look on his face.]
Steven Douglas: Hey, by the way, A Fish
Named Wanda sucked. What did you need Ian?
Ian Gonzales: Where is the rest of the
Kovenant?
Steven Douglas: Well, either they are
already here or they have yet to arrive.
Ian Gonzales: Not traveling with your team?
That's not a good sign.
Steven Douglas: What was that? Not a good
sign? Remember your place Ian, you are an announcer, let me handle
the good signs for the wrestling business. We are still bonding,
trust me, this stable will be great soon.
Ian Gonzales: Fair enough, Steven I came out
here to address your thoughts on tonight, will the rest of the
Kovenant be at ringside?
Steven Douglas: Why not? They are my
partners after all.
Ian Gonzales: Will they be outside the ring
for support only or for an upper hand?
Steven Douglas: Upper hand? Are you saying
that you think I will resort to cheating? You know what, this
interview is over, it s too damn cold in this parking lot and you are
pissing me off. If you have any other questions for me, ask me later,
or better yet, get McNeal to ask, I d much rather be interviewed by a
beautiful woman than by an illegal alien.
[The comment deeply offends Gonzales, but he realizes that he has
a job to do.]
Ian Gonzales: Just answer me this, who will
win tonight in your match versus Tempest?
[Douglas stops immediately and stares at Gonzales, shining the
glare of the Television championship in his face before giving one
answer.]
Steven Douglas: It seems as though some men
and women, may they only be few, are completely and utterly obsessed
with one thing; winning. Sure, everyone loves to win, however there
are a select few that are not satisfied with anything but winning.
Not doing so would make them crazy, maybe even ill, and the thought
that they have lost is one that they are not willing to accept.
Revenge is never sweet enough for those people, because the fact that
someone defeated the man or woman who has strived so desperately not
to lose is one that will linger in that person s mind forever. So the
people who are so desperate to win make it a fact that they do so
week in and week out. Their minds are always in the game, and nothing
is ever more important than victory. Competition is how people dating
back to the cavemen would settle debates or just past time, and
sometimes once one gets a taste of victory, they are addicted
forever. That is really what victory is to some, an addiction,
something that can control their life forever. The most interesting
things happen when two people so craved for success cross paths, when
they are forced to compete. That battle could end in an epic struggle
not just for victory, but for a competitors life. The seriousness of
the situation escalates each time one of the two gets the upper hand,
however eventually there must be a winner. One person has to be able
to come out with their head raised high, knowing that they are still
the best, whilst the other is forced to hang low. Such is life. Both
Tempest and I are those kind of people, however it shall be me who is
the one with his hand raised in victory.
[Douglas walks away from the reporter without any warning, leaving
the camera to come close to a confused, angered, and frightened Ian
Gonzales.]
JP: Steven Douglas has a big chance tonight,
not only for himself but also for his stable.
Sully: He could strike a crippling blow to
Tempest, the challenger for Thunder Bull's MWF World Heavyweight
Championship.
JP: It's a dangerous chance, Douglas could
be destroyed at the hands of Tempest....or "The Kovenant" could
conspire to destroy Tempest's hopes of being healthy for March
Madness.
Sully: Tempest has cut a hard draw, he's up
against the best rising talent in the MWF, and Thunder Bull has a
week off to relax before March Madness.
JP: But then again, Tempest had the week off
last week.
Sully: I was surprised that Tempest didn't
take more action against Thunder Bull.
JP: I was waiting for something to happen,
but it was very quiet...
Sully: ...this week Tempest is going to be
right in the firing line.
[We cut backstage, to find the latest addition to the Kovenant,
the MWF Television Champion, Steven Douglas. There is a deep rumble
among the fans, mostly jeers, as Douglas is alone in the hallway,
leaning against a wall. He brings his hands up to his mouth, to light
the cigarette between hislips. Douglas breathes out smoke as we spot
the Television Championship hanging over his right shoulder.. He
takes a glance down towards it, as a shadow suddenly drops over him..
Jimmy Pez: An impressive victory last week,
champ..
[Douglas looks up to find the source of the huge shadow to be the
Mexican Convict, Leandro. The 7 foot Beast looks down on the
Television Champion, no expression on his scarred face, his dark eyes
calm. Steven Douglas smiles to himself, before speaking in his rough
voice..
Steven Douglas: Yeah?
[Douglas then removes the cigarette from his mouth, and raises his
middle finger! The crowd get loud, expecting a fight to break out at
this, as Douglas breathes out smoke and holds his hand up high.
Leandro reaches two massive arms down on the shoulders of his manager
and picks him up, placing him down to the side! The crowd cheer at
his strength, and Douglas chuckles to himself.. The Beast gets within
a foot of the Television Champion and his middle finger, looking down
with a stone-face. Both men stand strong, neither backing down.
Slowly, the Mexican Convict reaches out and takes the cigarette from
Douglas' hand! The champ raises his eyebrows, as Leandro takes a drag
and breathes the smoke out of his nose like the proverbial bull.. The
Beast drops the cigarette to the floor, and then looks back to
Douglas' middle finger still standing strong! After a few more
moments, an uncharacteristic smile emerges underneath Leandro's
moustache, and the animal starts to walk away. The Television Champ
drops the middle finger and watches his 7 foot frame tower down the
hallway.. As though force of habit, Douglas takes out another
cigarette and lights it up. He gives a rough chuckle to himself, as
Leandro leaves the scene. The last image we see is of the Television
Champion breathing out a cloud of smoke, the belt still hanging over
his shoulder..]
JP: That was really something!
Sully: Intense moments backstage, two of the
MWF's leading new wrestlers meeting for the first time.
JP: I have a feeling they've met before, and
they will meet again.
Sully: Leandro has been cutting his way
through the MWF roster and he will continue to do so tonight.
JP: I've been hearing rumours that Leandro
is set to appear at March Madness against The Grudge for the MWF
Xtreme Championship.
Sully: If I was The Grudge I'd be a bit
worried about that match....Leandro's no small fry.
JP: He's got a tough match tonight though,
Father John Ramsey is set to try and repair some damage after that
defeat to Tempest the other week.
Sully: The Father has been very quiet since
then, I think the wind was taken out of his sails by that
defeat.
JP: It wouldn't surprise me, he needs
confidence to be on top of his game and I think he's got a very tough
match tonight.
Sully: Leandro's twice his size at least,
our Father, who art in heaven....
JP: ....save your prayers, I am sure Ramsey
has a game plan.
Sully: We're going to take a quick break and
we'll be back with Father John Ramsey facing off against
Leandro.
