versus

Joey Maddison w/Mr. Blue Skies

Triple Threat Match

Referee: Patrick Ewing

Writer: Dom Stoate

JP: A triple threat match, then.

Sully: Shame it's not with a few well-known people rather than these ones.

JP: Well, you have to start somewhere. Damon Knight is the only one of these two that is yet to have an official MWF match-up. The other two featured last week, and both lost.

Sully: I hope Damon Knight is better than those two. I have to say, JP, that I was thoroughly disappointed with the two of them. Call themselves superstars?

[As all three men have made it into the ring, the referee barks orders at them before signalling for the bell. The bell rings and the fans get fired up. Naturally, it isn't as much of a noise that three more established wrestlers would get, but it's enough to get them started as both Ken Cruise and Joey Maddison lunge for the centre of the ring. The two lock up in the middle of the ring in a standard collar-elbow tie-up, leaving Knight to just watch for now. Maddison gets behind Cruise skilfully before shoving him towards the ropes. Cruise rebounds off the ropes before coming at Joey with a flying clothesline, and knocking him down onto the back of his head.]

JP: Man, what a shot!

[Cruise looks down at Maddison, yelling down at him, before being struck from behind by Knight. Knight nails Cruise in the back of the head before wasting no time by landing several hard stomps to his back. He grabs hold of the ropes for leverage as he lands stomp after stomp. He would turn away from Cruise who writhes on the mat to raise out his arms in a celebration, tilting his head back and declaring something inaudible without the microphone. His celebration would last only seconds however, as from behind, he is brought down by Maddison into a quick roll-up. 1…2..Damon Knight manages to get the shoulder up.]

JP: The first near call there. That was a pretty smart move from Maddison. It's not just a pin attempt, but also brings down the opponent.

Sully: But what good is that in a triple threat match?

[Maddison drags Knight down by the legs and drops one, pulling him across the mat by the other. He would move him over towards the turnbuckle before dragging him to his feet, pulling at his hair to get him up there. He would shove him on top of the turnbuckle in a sitting position before leaning up and punching him once, twice, three times in the face, hard. The fans are starting to get behind Maddison as he hooks the head of his opponent in an attempt to land a super plex. He would struggle to pull him up off the turnbuckle, however, and after three struggles, it looks as if he is not going to be able to get him off it. This idea is confirmed as Knight strikes Joey once and then a second time before pushing him backwards off the turnbuckle! Maddison soars through the air, before connecting with the barely-standing Ken Cruise. Ken Cruise reacts quickly and manages to catch Maddison without letting him touch the floor. This receives a large pop from the audience, and Ken is just contemplating what to do with him as Knight pulls himself off the turnbuckle and leaps off, landing a huge missile drop kick to Maddison's back, pushing them both backwards onto the canvas hard.]

Sully: Oh man!

JP: Great ingenuity from Damon Knight, and he has secured the upper hand in this bought.

Sully: He's the only one worth watching. Those other useless jobbers haven't got a hope.

JP: Where's the encouragement? Where's the confidence? These men have both got bright futures in the MWF. They both gonna be big stars, and I'll bet money on it.

Sully: I thought you weren't a betting man.

JP: Oh, just be quiet.

[Damon stands himself up, watching Maddison in particular, throwing his arms up in a gesture that says: 'Come on!'. Maddison takes a little while to stand, but eventually he does. As he does, he'd stumble forwards, straight into a kick to the gut. Knight would hook his head and raise his arm, signalling the end via 'The Knight's End'. As he goes to turn, though, Joey Maddison grabs onto his arm and pushes him against the nearby ropes. Knight comes back off them, stumbling backwards, straight into a huge german suplex that sees Knight land straight onto the top of his head. This receives a huge ovation from the crowd. Knight turns onto her front and just lays there, fairly motionless.]

Sully: Did you know that Damon Knight's finisher is called 'The Knight's End', and Ken Cruise's finishing move is called 'A Night's End'?

JP: I was aware of that.

[Ken Cruise had finally made his way up with the assistance of the ropes when Joey Maddison turns his attention to him. Joey grabs onto the head of Cruise and goes to land a blow to the head, but Cruise reacts swiftly, blocking with one arm before whipping out his other to strike him across the face. There is a real thwack sound when he connects and Maddison stumbles against the ropes. Ken comes forward, hitting him once again across the face, keeping an eye on Knight who still remains on the canvas.]

JP: This has been a real table-turner. Each man has been on top at some point, and now it's Ken Cruise's turn.

[It is indeed as he lands blow after blow to Maddison who writhes against the ropes.]

Sully: Maddison… he's such a freak. 280lbs, 5'8". He's like a small machine.

[Ken Cruise turns to the just-standing Damon Knight who holds his head. The referee is seemingly more concerned with the injured Maddison and as Ken Cruise approaches Knight who backs off, hands raised in submission. He shakes his head, pleading for mercy as Cruise approaches, threatening with a raised fist. The fans boo at Damon Knight as he cowardly backs away. Ken lowers his fist and turns towards Maddison, shaking his head, muttering dismissively. Briefly checking that the referee isn't looking, Damon would lunge forwards, hitting Cruise with a huge low-blow!]

Sully: Hah hah hah!

JP: What a dirty cheat!

Sully: That was great!

[Ken's eyes widen hugely as he clutches to his jewels. He'd stagger forwards, clutching to himself as he groans, screwing up his teary eyes, the fans booing and jeering Knight as he stands up and moves towards Ken, nailing him in the stomach, doubling him up and hooking his head before hitting The Knight's End! The fans booing and jeering gets louder as he drops down for the cover. The referee, eventually, would turn around, drop and start the count. 1…2…Ken Cruise kicks out! The fans cheer, standing up and applauding Ken Cruise who forces out of the pin attempt.]

JP: He did it! Ken Cruise kicked out, and rightly so! Damon Knight cheated. He was cowering before Ken Cruise, and when he turned around, Knight nailed him with a low blow!

Sully: And that is why I have a whole heap of respect for this man! He knows how to win, and he came so very close to winning that one!

[Cruise sits up, and Knight kneels up, hands planting onto his hips as he watches his opponent struggle up. He would stand, grabbing onto the head of Cruise, but lets go and turns towards Maddison who stands up, delivering a huge blow to his head and knocking him back. He'd turn towards Ken again, but is too late. Ken bends over, grabbing onto Knight's legs and dropping him down onto his back. The fans roar as he grabs a leg and begins to administer the one-legged Boston crab! Knight would cry out in both pain and panic as he is hooked and put into the submission hold.]

JP: He's got him! He's got him!

Sully: Oh no!

[Knight screams out in pain as he is hooked for the Boston crab, and Cruise only tightens the hold, leaning back to add leverage to the hold. Knight reaches for the ropes, but Cruise drags him away swiftly, getting a pop from the audience. The fans get behind Cruise as he tightens the hold, Knight screaming in pain. He looks just about ready to tap, hand raised above the canvas, just about ready to pound down on it, but Joey Maddison leaps down from above, striking Cruise upside the head and knocking him back, breaking up the hold. The fans settle down again. Cruise rolls out of the ring, and Maddison turns to the still-writhing Knight. He'd kneel down before grabbing onto his ankle and hooking him for the ankle lock! The fans stand up in ovation again as they see Knight writhing in agony on the canvas once again.]

Sully: They're crazy!

JP: They know who they hate!

[Knight holds onto his head, mouth wide as he screams, unable to even try to escape as he lays on his front on the canvas, ankle locked in tightly. Cruise, on the outside of the ring, shakes his head and slides wearily into the ring behind the other two. Once again, Knight looks about ready to tap, but Cruise manages to reach in and break up the hold. Knight rolls out of the ring as soon as he is released, holding onto his ankle and whimpering quite pathetically. Cruise, pulling himself up into a standing position, faces Maddison, and both men move into the middle of the ring, and begin to exchange blows. Maddison gets the upper hand, and begins to hammer a fist into the side of Cruise's head. He would nail a kick to the stomach of Cruise before hooking his arms, setting him up for the Destiny in Demise! (Pedigree). Cruise manages to force him off, throwing him over him. Maddison lands hard on his back and slowly drags himself up. Cruise turns around and, out of no where, lands the Cruise Control! (RKO) Maddison hits the canvas chest first, and Cruise gets down, hooking the leg. Knight staggers towards the ring, but both of his injured legs stop him from getting anywhere quickly. 1…2…3!]

JP: Ken Cruise is the winner!

Peter Santos: And your winner, through pinfall, Ken Cruise!
