Dynamite 24/01/2005
[The crowd go wild as MWF Monday Night Dynamite hits
the airwaves from Detroit, Michigan and pyro explodes from the ring posts. The
fans waves their signs as we join Sully and JP at ringside.]
JP: Hey folks, welcome to another edition of Monday
Night Dynamite and we're right here in Detroit, Michigan for what should be an
amazing show.
Sully: It's going to be devastating. The MWF and WEW
are starting to really rub each other up the wrong way.
JP: Ben Harlum officially announced last week on
Cyberslam that the pay - per - view would be known as Conflict.
Sully: It's going to be an amazing show, Cleveland,
Ohio will never be the same again.
JP: We've got two matches confirmed for Conflict
already...the MWF World Heavyweight Champion will face off against the WEW
Champion.
Sully: At the moment it looks like Thunder Bull versus
Tivelli but that could all change.
JP: CT defends on Cyberslam, and many are predicting
whoever wins out of Gutter Rat and Doomsday's match will face Gutter Rat at
Authority.
Sully: Tonight will be just as spectacular as Conflict,
Thunder Bull returns to action with a warm-up match against Gunman Stinger.
JP: It's a great chance for "GMS".
[Sully is about to say something but he's cut off as
the camera switches from the ringside view to the office of the MWF CEO. The
camera pans around the office and it doesn't look like anyone is home. A poster
hangs on the wall with the face of Gutter Rat, beneath it is the word 'Saviour'.
The desk is filled with papers and files, spread out as if someone has been
working very hard on them. There is a sound near the door as it is pushed open
and the camera spins round to see the MWF CEO walking in with a cup of coffee.
The crowd can be heard cheering at the sight of their leader, Walker walks to
the table and puts the mug of coffee down. He takes a seat and pushes a few
papers to one side.]
Walker: Evening one and all. Welcome to Monday Night
Dynamite and another chapter in the MWF and WEW story. It's been a slow start,
many of you will remember when we first locked heads...the matches where
Flashman upstaged the MWF.
[There is a growl in the MWF CEO's voice as he recalls
the triumphs of Flashman.]
Walker: I wasn't happy those nights and it enraged me
to see such pathetic representation of the MWF. Then the WEW pips us to a
position in Projekt Xero, Harlum's smug face haunting my every move. That man
makes me sick. He thinks he can just get away with everything when he knows that
the Maximum Wrestling Federation is better, and stands for far more than his
shambolic company.
[Walker stands from his chair and walks over the window
of his temporary office in the Detroit arena.]
Walker: But that is in the past, and now I am looking
out across at a brilliant future. A future where the WEW will be sent back to
the pit it was spawned from, and they will at long last feel the pain of defeat.
The pang of despair as their top names are taken by the throat and rung through
with the sword. We will take a sacrifice from you Harlum. We will make you
suffer!
[Walker slams a hand against the window pane and
breathes heavily, his face turning back to the camera.]
Walker: Prepare yourself Harlum because this war is
only just beginning and we're making all the right moves. We're going to leave
you an your army stumped, Harlum. Never ever will I be forced to suffer a defeat
as humiliating as all the digs you've had at me. 2005 is the year I planned to
rebuild the MWF into what it once was, and once I have taken care of that fool
Wayne, then you will be next. You see that man...
[Walker extends his arm and points to the picture of
Gutter Rat with the word 'Saviour' written underneath.]
Walker: ...that man, that man, will take something from
you. He will take something precious, a lamb to the slaughter so to speak. With
that action, Harlum, the real Conflict will begin!
[Walker starts to laugh as the camera returns to the
arena, the fans roar in response to the fighting talk of the MWF CEO.]
JP: The MWF CEO is right back on fighting form, nothing
can ever keep that man down.
Sully: Nothing will ever stop him, but the WEW will try
their hardest.
JP: They certainly will, but they can't match the tact
and mind games of the MWF CEO.
Sully: We all know Walker's a sick and twisted son of a
bitch.
JP: He'll take the heart of the WEW and rip it straight
out while it's still beating.
Sully: There was some talk from Walker of a
sacrifice...what could he be talking about?
JP: It sounds like he's planning a move against the WEW
that will break them, break their spirit completely.
Sully: I think we should take a look back at Cyberslam
last week and see if we can pick up something about what might be happening.
JP: Yes, that's a good idea. We've got some footage of
Harlum, last week when he announced that Conflict would be happening.
Sully: Roll the tape...
{[[[The CyberSlam Music
Video plays, the pyro explodes, and we are live! in Philadelphia for the
real version of WEW CyberSlam. Instead of going to Steve, Alex and Xach at
the commentary booth, we go straight to the ring where WEW Owner, Prezident
Harlum, is standing in the ring, while his personal 'bodyguard', Eddie
Benoit is standing in the corner.
Harlum: Welcome to
another week of the superior show in Wrestling Today, WEW CyberSlam! Now I'm
standing in the ring tonight to address this MWF vs. WEW feud that's been
going on. Yes, It was fun hacking into the MWF System last Monday and
commentating their main event, and I'm sure Eddie over there in the corner
enjoyed beating that low-life scum, Doomsday, but the effects that this war
is having on WEW are quite devastating!
You see, while the appearance of
the Elite bunch of WEW Superstars have been increasing the ratings for MWF's
low-budget weekly Television Show, the appearance of Gutter Rat, Ed Walker
and the bunch of miserable excuses for wrestlers they call MWF Superstars,
their appearance on CyberSlam is actually bringing down our ratings. As
shocking as it may seem, that is the truth, and tonight I am out here to
declare that party-time is over.
Because I have an arena booked,
in Cleveland, Ohio, and 3 hours of Pay-Per-View time put aside for February
13th. And I've decided to book a very special Pay-Per-View for February 13.
It's going to be, for the first time in history, an inter-promotional
Pay-Per-View, where I will line up the WEW Roster on one side, and the MWF
will line up their MWF Roster, and maybe their development territory's
roster, to even the numbers, and they will collide in special matches booked
by myself and Ed Walker. And it's going to be called WEW vs. MWF Conflict!
Steve: Wow! That's a huge
announcement by Prez Harlum!
Harlum: And allow me to
announce the main event of that Pay-Per-View. At MWF vs. WEW Conflict, it's
going to be our WEW Champion vs. Their MWF Champion, in a Champion vs.
Champion Match, to see who the better man is!
Briggs: And that's a main
event I'd pay to see. I guess the participants could change by February, but
there is a strong chance it will be Thunder Bull and CT facing each other.
Harlum: Well I've wasted
enough time, Eddie, let's go.
Just then, "You Know You're
Right" by Nirvana starts to play in the PA system as some of the crowd
begins to boo heavily.
Alex: What the hell?
What's going on?
Briggs: Oh my God! That's
the music of the "Deadly One"!
Steve: Who?
Briggs: Doomsday from the
MWF! He's a two-time World Champion as well as their first Grand Slam
Champion. He's a monster in their ring.
At that, Doomsday comes from the
entranceway and sauntered down the ring with his ring attire. Benoit stands
there and eyes the man walking down towards the ring as Harlum backs up to
the corner and away from the upcoming confrontation. Doomsday climbs up the
ropes and enters the ring, his eyes focused on the big man as he is given a
mic. A sadistic smile comes upon Doomsday's face as he raises the mic to his
mouth
Doomsday: So, it's you
belief that the MWF is soft? You really believe that we are soft, huh?
Benoit confidently nods his
head.
Doomsday: Well, I want
you to prove to me that I'm soft. Prove it to me!
The fans are chanting 'WEW! WEW!
WEW!' as Benoit fires a hard right hand to Doomsday's face, sending him back
a step. However, to the fans' amazement, Doomsday stands backs up straight
with that same sadistic smile.
Alex: Holy cow!
Briggs: Are you kidding
me? That should have knocked him out cold!
Doomsday fires off his own hard
right hand at Benoit, sending the big man back a step as well. However, the
fans cheer loudly as Benoit stands right back up.
Steve: What a standoff
this is! Two of the biggest heavyweights in the business are sizing
themselves up.
Briggs: This is a classic
to...whoa!
Alex: Here we go!
Doomsday and Benoit finally
fired off several blows at each other, but Benoit starts to gain the
advantage with a right hand to Doomsday's gut. Harlum leaves the ring and
runs towards the backstage area, while Eddie grabs Doomsday's arm and whips
him to the turnbuckle and follows it up with a corner splash. Doomsday
staggers forward a bit, only to be grabbed by the throat by Benoit! Harlum
and the fans stand up and roar as Doomsday gets risen up and planted by a
massive choke slam!
Alex: Yes! Harlum was
right!
Briggs: Finish him off,
big man!
Benoit signals for the end and
starts to climb towards the top rope. With himself on the top turnbuckle,
Benoit dives off as he looks to hit a forward roll (a'la Cactus Jack) onto
Doomsday, but Doomsday rolls out of the way and Benoit collides with the
hard mat! Benoit holds his gut as Doomsday gets on one knee on the opposite
side.
Steve: Oh no! This looks
very bad!
As Benoit slowly stands up with
his arms holding his mid-section, the "Deadly One" rushes forward and
delivers a harsh spear that takes Benoit down with authority! The fans
become stunned as their big man gets taken down by the MWF's big man.
Doomsday slowly stands up and picks Benoit back up, smiling while doing so.
At that, he locks Benoit in a Double-Arm DDT position and jumps high in the
air, taking his enemy with him as Doomsday delivers the Shotgun Blast!
Alex: NO! Not that!
Briggs: I can't believe
it! Benoit is taken out by Doomsday with one of the fiercest finishers I've
ever seen!
Doomsday stands up and raises
his arms in the air, looking down at the fallen Benoit as the fans boos hard
at them. Those boos turned to cheers as Harlum races out towards the ring
with a few members of the roster, led by Rob 'Hitman' Burns. Doomsday sees
this and runs out of the ring as he climbs over the security railing,
heading out of the arena.}}}]
