MWF Television Championship Match

Referee: Grant August

Writer: Tim Beery

JP: Well, Grant August is in the ring, ready to kick things off.

Sully: Let's get it on!

Peter Santos: The following match, is scheduled for a one fall, and is a triple threat match for the MWF Television Title! Making his way to the ring, the first challenger, weighing in at 210 lbs, Wildfire!

["Beautiful People," by Marilyn Manson plays over the PA system, as Wildfire appears at the top of the ramp. As he makes his way to the ring, the crowd lets out a chorus of boos and hisses. Wildfire appears unconcerned, as he slides in the ring, to await the match.]

Peter Santos: The second challenger, weighing in at 310 lbs, from New York, New York, "The Deadly One," Doomsday!

[Nirvana's "You Know You're Right," plays out, and the crowd lets out a pop as Doomsday appears and walks down the entrance ramp. He is taking his time, sizing up Wildfire. He pulls himself up to the ring apron, and with one huge leg following the other, he steps over the top rope. He makes his way to the opposite side of the ring than that of Wildfire, and eyes him down. The two stare at each other with barely contained fire.]

Peter Santos: And now, making his way to the ring, weighing in at 220 lbs, from Chicago, Illinois, he is the MWF Television Champion, "Troy Boy" Troy Knight!

["Larger Than Life," by the Backstreet Boys plays, and the crowd lets out an enormous cheer as Troy Knight appears at the top of the ramp, wearing his MWF Television title around his waist. He waves a friendly little wave to the fans, and cheerfully skips down the ramp. He slides in the ring, and moves to the center, ignoring Doomsday and Wildfire, who have now cast their eyes on him. He pulls off his title belt in one smooth motion, bringing it up for all to see. The crowd is going nuts as he smiles, and hands it over to Grant August. Grant August holds it up, and then moves to the side of the ring, handing it to the ringside assistant, and motions for the bell.

JP: Well, Sully, any more thoughts on the match before we officially kick it off?

Sully: Yea, anybody but Troy Knight, please!

[The bell rings, and the three combatants look at each other. With a howl of rage, Doomsday charges Wildfire, catching him with a powerful clothesline, and putting Wildfire to the ground. Doomsday then turns his attention to Troy Knight. "Troy Boy" runs at Doomsday, but Doomsday tries to counter with another big clothesline. Troy Knight ducks it, and goes bouncing off the ropes. He flies back, and jumps trying to hit a cross body block. Doomsday catches him mid-air, and with amazing speed, flattens Troy Knight on the mat with a powerful slam, and moves for the pin. Grant August begins the count. 1...the count is broken up by a vicious elbow to Doomsday by the recovered Wildfire.]

JP: You aren't going to win a match that fast. Not against the likes of Troy Knight.

Sully: Give me a break, JP. It was Wildfire who broke the count up. I am telling you, this man is on the comeback track!

JP: We'll see, but for now, those two better think of something quick to compete with the sheer size of Doomsday.

[It appears they have, as they nod at each other, and double team Doomsday. They are taking turns delivering hards rights and lefts, driving back the struggling Doomsday. Troy Knight hits an especially hard right, and it sends Doomsday stumbling back into the corner of the ring. Wildfire charges, and running up the ropes on the side of Doomsday, lands a large drop kick from the top rope to the face of Doomsday. Doomsday falls forward onto the mat. Troy Knight, not wanting to be outdone, runs up the corner turnbuckle, and, not losing any momentum, executes a large elbow drop from the top.]

JP: Good moves by Troy Knight.

Sully: Even better by Wildfire. You see that drop kick? Amazing.

JP: Maybe working together will help topple the mammoth Doomsday.

Sully: I think Wildfire has thoughts of his own.

[As Troy Knight jumps up and down, Wildfire walks over, offering his hand. Troy Knight goes to take it, but is only pulled in to a DDT by Wildfire. Laughing wildly, Wildfire gets to his feet, and picks up the Television champion by his hair, and sends him for a ride. Wildfire backs up, bounces off the opposite ropes, and connects with a huge spinning heel kick to the chin of Troy Knight. Troy Knight drops to the mat, and Wildfire goes for the cover. 1...2...Wildfire is lifted bodily off his feet by Doomsday, as Doomsday moves over, and plants Wildfire into the mat with a hard body slam. Doomsday moves back over to Troy Knight, and goes for the cover.1...2...kick out by Troy Knight.]

JP: That's the thing about a triple threat match. You can't trust anyone, because only one person can win.

Sully: And in order to win, you have to put two people out. Quite the conundrum, is it not, JP?

JP: Quite indeed.

[Doomsday picks up Troy Knight, and sets him up for a powerbom. But as Troy Knight hits the apex, he starts pounding the face of Doomsday. Doomsday starts to stagger backwards, but is still holding Troy Knight up. Troy Knight is pounding away, fighting for his life. Then, Wildfire is back on his feet, and runs at Doomsday, and hits a hard shoulder check to the leg of Doomsday. Doomsday falls backwards, and Troy Knight lands right on top for the cover. 1...2... Wildfire pulls Troy Knight off Doomsday. He points at the legs of Doomsday, and nodding his head, they both grab a leg, and yank them hard in opposite directions. Doomday pulls himself in, holding himself. They both grab a leg, and in unison, execute a hard elbow drop to the knees of Doomsday, and hold them in for the submission.]

JP: Great teamwork by Wildfire and Troy Knight.

Sully: Yeah, but what about the mind of Wildfire? Going for the legs? Brilliant idea if you ask me.

JP: Sure was.

[Grant August is asking Doomsday if he would like to submit. Doomsday is shaking his head, as he is trying to scoot himself backwards. He reaches his long arms back, and grabs the ring ropes. Grant August turns back, and urges Wildfire and Troy Knight to break the hold. He starts to count, as if to disqualify them, but as he reaches 4, they break the hold, and holds their arms up.]

JP: Speaking of using your head. Good ring awareness on the part of Doomsday right there.

Sully: Just in time, too. He was two seconds away from giving up, I know it.

[Troy Knight and Wildfire are back on their feet. Wildfire is heading towards Doomsday, who is struggling to get back to his feet, when he is tapped on the shoulder by Troy Knight. Wildfire turns around, and is met by an ear ringer by Troy Knight.Wildifre stumbles back, but Tory Knight presses the attack. Troy Knight takes a step back, and bouncing off the ropes, heads for Wildfire. Wildfire, expecting a clothesline, ducks, but Troy Knight just rolls right over him, and rolls him up with the sunset flip. Grant August moves for the count.1...2 kick out by Wildfire.]

Sully: Why that dirty... See what he did there, JP? And you still respect that man?

JP: Hey, he is only giving back what Wildfire had done in the first place.

Sully: That still doesn't give him the right.

JP: What?!

[Troy Knight slaps the canvas in frustration, and gets up. He is about to pick Wildfire up, when he sense Doomsday coming up from behind him. Troy Knight turns around, and quickly executes a drop toe hold on Doomsday, which brings the big man crashing down on the body of Wildfire. Doomsday clutches his mid-section, and rolls off. Troy Knight, meanwhile, goes for another pin.1...2...kickout by Wildfire. Frustrated, Troy Knight gets to his feet, and to the far side of the ring, slides out, and stands on the outside of the ring, with his hands on his hips.]

JP: Troy Knight is frustrated, Sully. It's apparent on his face, and his composure.

Sully: Well, good! That is what a triple threat match is. You can't just beat the one person. You have to somehow come out on top over two people!

JP: But, maybe Troy Knight has a plan after all...

[Wildfire is back on his feet, as is Doomsday. They are both slow to move, but Wildfire, seeing Doomsday stumbling, takes off at him full speed, and leaps at the head of Doomsday. His legs connect with his head, and Doomsday is sent for a ride via a flying headscissors by Wildfire. Wildfire is quick to his feet, and running again, climbs up the ropes, and executes a flying frog splash to the body of Doomsday. Wildfire jumps back to his feet, and signalling to the fans, he climbs the ropes again.]

JP: He is signalling for the Crisis, Sully!

Sully: Yeah. This 720 Splash could spell the end for Doomsday, and the title reign of Troy Knight. Please hit it!

[Wildfire is set up, and Troy Knight jumps up on the apron, and grabs the rope, making it unstable, and causeing Wildfire to land with the top rope splitting his legs. He grabs himself, as Troy Knight leaps over the top rope, grabbing Wildfire's head in the process, and executes an amazing bulldog! Wildfire is out, as Troy Knight looks to Doomsday.]

JP: Now he gets it. He has Wildfire out, now he only needs to take care of Doomsday.

Sully: As if anyone could just "take care" of Doomsday!

[Doomsday and Troy Knight lock up, and Doomsday quickly gains the upper hand. He picks up Troy Knight easily, and attempts a suplex. However, halfway up, his left knee starts to buckle, and Troy Knight falls headfirst into the falling body of Doomsday. After landing on his head, Troy Knight rolls over, and remains motionless.]

JP: Oh my god! Doomsday botched the suplex, and injured Troy Knight in the process! He may even have put him out of action!

Sully: Good!

JP: Not good, you idiot! That was a serious fall to his head. He could be paralyzed! God help him!

[Doomsday, clutching his left knee, notices the unmoving body of Troy Knight. He crawls over, and lays an arm over Troy Knight. Troy Knight doesn't move, as the ref moves over for the count. 1...2...Wildfire, from nowhere, executes a flying elbow drop to the knee of Doomsday, causing him to break the hold, and clutch his knee. Wildfire presses the attack, and bringing Doomsday to his feet, executes a devestating fall away DDT, crashing the head of Doomsday into the mat.]

Sully: Wow! I hate to say it, but that had to hurt!

JP: It sure did, Sully. But the Television title is still up for grabs!

[Wildfire is moving towards the body of Troy Knight, looking for an easy cover. As he begins to make the cover, Doomsday is back on his feet. He is limping towards Wildfire, as Grant August begins to make the count.1....2.... Doomsday lands a large double fist to the back of Wildfire, breaking the count. Doomsday is back on his feet, and hobbling, he is making his way to the squirming body of Wildfire. Wildfire is pulled to his feet by Doomsday, and set up for a powerbomb. His left leg is wobbly, and he almost drops Wildfire. Then, screaming in rage, he lifts Wildfire up, and plants him onto the mat with an enormous powerbomb, as he collapses to the mat himself.]

JP: The strength of Doomsday is incredible.

Sully: Yea, but he has to be feeling the pain right now. The constant attack to his legs is starting to wear on him.

JP: It sure is. But through all of it, he is pressing on like the true competitor he is.

Sully: Or like the idiot he is.

JP: Sully!

[Doomsday is pulling himself back to his feet, as Wildfire is arching his back in pain. Doomsday limps over to Wildfire, and leaning over, he picks up Wildfire, and screaming in pain, tosses him onto the body of Troy Knight. Wildfire bounces up, and lands on his back, while Troy Knight lies there, motionless. Doomsday moves over to Troy Knight, and goes for the cover, while Wildfire is barely stirring. 1....2.....kickout by Troy Knight. It was weak, and almost not enough, but Grant August slaps the canavs a third time, but turns to Doomsday to wave him off, telling him it was only a two count.]

JP: Wow, it doesn't get any closer than that, does it?

Sully: How?! How the hell did he do it?

JP: I don't know, but I wouldn't rule Troy Knight just yet.

Sully: Sure wish we could...

[Doomsday is on his feet, and looking at Troy Knight with an incredible expression on his face. Troy Knight is slowly making his way to his feet. Doomsday just looks at him, then smiles. Troy Knight is on his feet, but barely. Then, looking at Doomsday, charges him, with more fight in him than energy. He walks right into a waiting arm of Doomsday. Doomsday fist clenches around the throat of Troy Knight, and moving an arm out of the way, sets Troy Knight up for a chokeslam.]

JP: Looks like we could see the Lock N Load tonight, Sully.

Sully: Oh please! Let's see it on the Television champion!

[Doomsday is moving his feet, ready to do it, when he sees Wildfire on his feet. Wildfire rushes Doomsday, attempting to stop the chokeslam. Instead, he runs right into other arm of Doomsday. Doomsday, who now has both combatants by their necks, incredibly, picks them both up, and chokeslams both of them to the mat! The impact as both men hit the mat is enough to bounce Doomsday slightly into the air. Troy Knight is out while Wildfire again arches his back in pain.]

JP: The power! The sheer power of Doomsday is amazing!

Sully: Not half as amazing as seeing Troy Knight's still body!

[Doomsday drops to his knees, and grabbing the leg of Troy Knight, goes for the cover. Grant August rushes over to pick up the count.1....2.... Wildfire breaks the count, basically, by throwing his body onto that of Doomsday. Doomsday, more annoyed than hurt, shrugs the body of Wildfire off his back, and Wildfire crashes to the mat behind him.]

JP: It looks like Wildfire still has a little fight left in him.

Sully: We'll see how much he has after this!

[Doomsday picks up Wildfire, and sets him up for the Shotgun Blast. Bending Wildfire over, and bringing his arms back, Doomsday drops back, hitting his drop back DDT with a huge blow to the head of Wildfire as he hits the mat. The impact flips the body of Wildfire from his stomach to his back. Hooking the leg, Doomsday goes for the cover.1....2......3! Grant August calls for the bell.]

JP: He did it. Doomsday picks up yet another title for Twizted Vision!

Sully: He did it! He was anybody else besides Troy Knight! And I am happy about it!

JP: Wildfire and Troy Knight put up a hell of a fight, but in the end, it was Doomsday, representing Twizted Vision, who came away with the win.

Sully: Speaking of Twizted Vision, we didn't see them the whole match. A little odd, don't you think?

JP: Maybe they just wanted to see what Doomsday had. Or maybe Doomsday wanted to see what Doomsday had. In any event, it was a clean match, with a clear winner.

Sully: And that winner, wasn't Troy Knight!

Peter Santos: Your winner, and new MWF Television Champion, Doomsday!
