Authority 30/01/2005
[The camera opens up on the MWF arena in Madison, Wisconsin and the crowd
roar as pyro explodes from the turnbuckles and the MWF Authority logo swirls on
the MaxiTron with the faces of the MWF CEO Edward Walker and the MWF President
Insane Wayne merged into one. The camera cuts to ringside where we join our
commentary team for the night, John Pilkington and Tim Sullivan.]
JP: Welcome everyone to Authority '05, with me John
Pilkington and Tim Sullivan.
Sully: Thanks for joining us here in Madison, Wisconsin and we've got a great
night of wrestling ahead.
JP: Tonight is the night for a triple threat, Thunder Bull defends his MWF
World Heavyweight Championship against Doomsday and Gutter Rat.
Sully: It's going to be a savage battle but "The Perfector of Pain" will be
wanting to defend against his great rival Doomsday.
JP: He sure will, but this could be the night of the rat...Gutter Rat will
defend his MWF Television Championship against Gunman Stinger and then go into
the main event.
Sully: This is after he took on Rob "Hitman" Burns at WEW Cyberslam on
Thursday...
JP: ...Gutter Rat would walk through hell to defend the MWF's honour and
that's exactly what he's doing.
Sully: His spirit has to be commended, but three matches in four nights is
surely not a good idea.
JP: The man can recover faster than anyone on the roster, but you are
right...it is a tall order.
Sully: He lost on Cyberslam, mainly due to some dodgy refereeing from Johnny
Karagious.
JP: We were of course expecting to see Karagious tonight representing the
WEW, but he had to drop out of the match against The Grudge.
Sully: His place has been taken by the dark and mysterious M-Unit.
JP: The Grudge faces his first defence of the MWF Xtreme Championship after
winning on Monday Night Dynamite against ViperJ, Mak and Stud in an anywhere
falls elimination match.
Sully: The Grudge got lucky, I thought that Mak should of had that one.
[A blast of red pyro suddenly erupts from the stage as Nirvana's "You Know
You're Right begins to blare through the PA system. The fans stand and cheer
loudly as Doomsday walks towards the ramp, hyping up the crowd while walking
down the ramp as he points to his black 'MWF Rules!' T-shirt.]
JP: Doomsday is here. He has a big match tonight as he has
to face both Gutter Rat and Thunder Bull for the MWF World Heavyweight
Championship.
Sully: I don't think he'll win because of all of the beatings that Eddie Benoit
of WEW has given in during this past week. I wonder why he's up here now?
JP: We'll find out.
[Doomsday climbs up the ring and roars out to the crowd, showing their support
for 'The Deadly One' as they start to chant his name. Peter Santos hands him a
mic as he prepares to speak.]
Doomsday: I know that I should be preparing for my match
later tonight, and I know that I concentrate on trying to become the first
three-time World Champion in MWF history, but I need to get something off my
chest. I'm out here to address a certain individual, who has been a pain in the
neck as of late, and he has made my life a living hell. This man is Eddie
Benoit. Now, last week, he and his bitch, Misery, decided to take things to
drastic measures by handcuffing me and shocking me with a taser. Well, I believe
that its time for a little dose of payback, MWF style!
[The fans cheer loud and chant 'MWF! MWF! MWF!' as Doomsday applauds them for
their loyalty.]
Doomsday: I have already talked to Walker, and he has
given me his blessing to make any match I want to at MWF/WEW Conflict, and my
match will involve myself, Eddie Benoit, and HELL IN A CELL!
[The fans go nuts when the announcement is made. JP and Sully sit in shock when
they heard Doomsday's words.]
JP: My God! Hell In A Cell at Conflict!
Sully: Benoit is finally going to get what he deserves!
Doomsday: Since Benoit is called 'The Pitbull', then I say
that it's time to put this dog in my personal cage and give him the booming
punishment that he deserves. If he thinks that he will get the best of me, then
he has another thing coming. Oh, and there is one stipulation in this match. If
I win, then I get Misery for one night and one night only, and then she will get
exactly what she deserves!
[Doomsday drops the mic and climbs out of the ring as his music starts again. He
starts hi-fiving some fans as he walks up the ramp and to the back.]
JP: Another match has now been made for Conflict as
Doomsday will face Eddie Benoit inside Hell In A Cell! What a match that will
be, Sully.
Sully: We have seen Doomsday inside that steel structure, and he is a different
animal than he is in normal matches. Eddie Benoit is going to get a royal
beating to be sure.
JP: I can't wait to see it.
Sully: I can't wait to see the main event tonight, let alone Conflict.
JP: I'm tired of all the waiting around, it's time the MWF and WEW clashed
properly.
Sully: You'll have your wish JP.
JP: Ah yes...
Sully: A fourteen-man elimination match has been scheduled for WEW Cyberslam
next Thursday and I guarantee it will be a spectacle like no other.
JP: It's going to be savage, the gloves are off.
Sully: Conflict's fast approaching all fourteen men will be looking to put
one over prospective opponents in an attempt to gain the advantage.
JP: One of those seven men involved in the pre-Conflict war is Mak, a member
of "Kronik".
Sully: Alongside Sozzey he'll be providing some much needed team play.
JP: "Kronik" are the MWF Tag Team Champions, a really dedicated and hard
working team....that's what sets them apart from everyone, they really know how
to operate as a team.
Sully: No doubt about that, and that could be the WEW's un-doing on
Cyberslam, they lack the cohesion that the MWF has with teams like "Kronik".
JP: Tonight, though, Mak has the chance to make a name for himself in the
singles arena.
Sully: He was in impressive form on Dynamite, and now he has the chance to
defeat ViperJ and make his way to face The Grudge for the MWF Xtreme
Championship.
JP: He has a massive advantage over ViperJ in that he has the strength of
Sozzey in his corner.
Sully: That's always a help.
JP: ViperJ only has his future wife, Jane, cheering him on.
Sully: Could make all the difference.
