This page is vital to the running of the Maximum Wrestling Federation, why? Well simply because rules are the basis not only of this EFED but of life as we know it, and the phrase "rules are there to be broken" should not be used in this Federation. But before I go charging into the rules, just a little run down on the history of the MWF:

The Past

The MWF was originally started in the July of the year 2001, when Prez Ed Walker and the former Commissioner Ian Portway set up a small time Federation in the wide world of EFEDs. It was based on a small Expages website, with limited graphics and web editing tools, but it soon became a hit with some top quality roleplayers arriving all the time. The top draw, was not so much the layout of the Fed but more the quality that was contained within the results and the roleplaying, the word spread and soon MWF was forced to evolve onto a new more advanced layouts. With the help of a top rate web designer the MWF moved into the more premier collection of EFEDs, and was ranked very highly on the MOJOs Top 100 EFEDs for a long time, scoring the No.2 spot behind JPE Wrestling in around the end of September. After three months of glorious reign, Prez Ed had to call it a day due to the mounting pressures of exams, and the MWF went out, literally, with a bang on October 27th 2001.

The MWF came back into the world in December 2002. Edward Walker after a stint in charge of the Ultimate Wrestling Federation was persuaded by Joe Forrest to re-start the MWF. The first events were a massive success and some of the MWF's top talent such as Ross Allen, Sam King, The Jeopardizer and Anarkist began to build a strong roster that would become the base of future success. General Manager Fozzy played a major part in the regeneration of the MWF but in the summer of 2003 he parted ways with the MWF to persue other career prospects. The task of General Manager fell to Dom Stoate who has now been in control of the position for just under a year...performing the task with a maturity and professionalism. The MWF briefly had a Commissioner in the form of Insane Wayne, a veteran wrestler but he was fired for his role in the "Black Weekend". The MWF is now past the eighteen month mark and is heading towards two years in operation.

2004 has been an up and down year for the MWF. Ace Spade was the top draw through the early part of 2004 with a great MWF World Heavyweight Championship run. Ace Spade eventually left after a high profile feud with Troy Knight and Doomsday took up the MWF World Heavyweight Championship, much to the delight of the fans and "Twisted Vizion" who were still a major force in the MWF at this point. The stable led by Insane Wayne had Iniquity, Doomsday and Seth Caliko all competing for major titles.

The fortunes of the MWF began to turn. As did those of "Twisted Vizion", the MWF World Heavyweight Championship was won by NomaD, before Anarkist returned in May to reclaim the belt for a third time. The MCPW series was a highlight as MWF and MCW wrestlers battled it out on each others shows. Plans for a merger between the two promotions fell through as the MCW collpased and the close affiliation between the two companies came to a sad end.

Summer 2004 was a fantastic time for the MWF. Troy Knight was rising through the ranks during the early part of the year and in June he captured the MWF World Heavyweight Championship. Quite easily the most popular MWF World Heavyweight Champion in history the twists and turns of the Knight family kept the fans enthralled for months. Thunder Bull signed to the MWF during the summer and became a hit with the fans.

Suddenly fortunes changed and Troy Knight's increadible unbeaten run came to an end and Thunder Bull won the MWF World Heavyweight Championship. In one of the most emotion and saddest nights in MWF history, Troy Knight lost the biggest prize in the MWF and left Thunder Bull to carry the belt. Gutter Rat also returned to the MWF and began to let his presence be known. A change occured on the staffing front, Scotty Heart retired as Talent Advisor and Insane Wayne stepped up from the position of General Manager to President. Edward Walker took an off-screen role and became CEO.

In January 2005, Authority came to pass and the MWF changed even more. The MWF President Insane Wayne was moved back onto the roster and stripped of his position as President. The MWF CEO now moved to take complete control of the MWF and steer it towards MWF/WEW: Conflict. Thunder Bull retained the MWF World Heavyweight Championship and prepared to lead the MWF into battle with the WEW.

The Future

What is the MWF all about? Well simply it is all about doing the best you can, the MWF is a showcase for you to display your talents to the wide world of EFED. Believe it or not, the MWF during its first spell was watched by a number of the higher order EFEDs and many of the MWF roster have competed in even tougher Feds than the MWF. The UwF has been the destination of many of the top talent, with Johny Star even scoring the UwF World Championship in the early days. The MWF has now a new format, with the emphasis on quality not quantity, quantity has become an all too common feature in EFEDs with everyone striving to be the biggest, MWF aims to keep it small and create that special atmosphere that was a big buzz before. A small roster brings many benefits, and these will soon be clear once the action gets underway. This is going back to true basics, the action will all be hand-written so that you can picture being there, far too often simulators are being used and the MWF will battle hard not to rest on its laurels and let Zeus Pro do the work. We aim to take e-wrestling to the Maximum of our abilities. We're now also looking to take EFEDs to new levels by linking up with the MCW (Maximum Championship Wrestling) for a venture called MCPW (Maximum Cross Promotional Wrestling) where MWF wrestlers will have the chance to take on MCW stars in some special matches. If the venture works it will give MWF's roster the chance to prove themselves to a wider audience.

The MWF's future is currently in building the roster back up to the strength it once was. New talent is being worked on and in recognition of this the MWF is expanding to include a development territory. Missouri State Wrestling and it's owned Corey have signed a contract with the MWF to take in all new wrestlers and some of the flagging stars on the MWF roster. The MWF has forged an alliance with WEW. The two promotions have worked two cross-promotional matches and talk is of increasing their frequency and working a joint Pay - Per - View. 2005 will be an interesting year for the MWF as the company celebrates 100 shows and two years in operation.

The Rules

  1. Do not argue/slag off staff over IM/email, instead send a thoughtfully worded IM or email to them, treat them with respect.
  2. Viscous OOC arguments will not be tolerated. The MWF experienced the "Black Weekend" where four of the MWF's leading wrestlers were fired for their part in major disagreements that threatened the future of the MWF. If you are the cause, or involved in an argument that the staff deem to damage the future or reputation of the MWF you will be fired.
  3. Roleplay should not be numbered e.g. Dynamite Roleplay 1 is not allowed, original titles to roleplays please.
  4. Please try to roleplay at least once a week, if without a good reason you don't then your place on the roster will be reviewed.
  5. Use only MWF commentators and staff, a list can be found on the staff page, do not use JR and King etc.
  6. Permission for roleplays attacks, and use of other wrestlers must be approved by a member of staff and the handler of the wrestler you plan to use. Also two roleplay attacks per week are allowed. A $500 fine will be applied for the breaking of this rule.
  7. Roleplays must be posted before the deadline or they will not be counted. The Roleplay deadline is in the description for each board.
  8. If you need time off from the MWF, or are going to be away for a long time then please please tell the MWF CEO so we can work a storyline and also notify us as far in advance as possible. Please use the time-off board for this purpose.
  9. All segments for shows must be sent to the MWF CEO, at 9 PM the day before the event. Any segments receieved after this time will not be added to the results.
  10. Only one wrestler is allowed per handler, and wrestlers must be "fantasy" creations.
