I wrote this song for a Sunday
service at Avondale UMC. People were so moved by it that I kept,
and it became the centerpiece for this four song EP about the welcoming
love of God. It is more the Prodigal story, it is my story- maybe
all of our story, when we turn around to discover the spectre that is pursuing
us is just what we fear most- Love Himself.

We are invited to be part of
God's story of His wonderful work in History and in the hope of things
to come. This song is that story and the invitation to be a part.

This song is based on a true
story. Aside from being a tragic tale of woe, it reminds us how silly
the things that we pursue are, when we forsake our master.

Once, while I was waiting for
a subway train, a homeless woman was spoken rudely to by a man she had
asked for some spare change. Her soft reponse inspired this song.

Determining what is really
important now, keeps us from many regrets later.

For my wife, Vikki. A
song about the ability of longing to point us toward Heaven.

A "roughly" true story
about a walk in a dark night. This is a song for all pilgrims walking
in a dark world where a little light can go a long way.
