Success! Thanks largely to the Campaign for Mayobanex, of course, our hero is back in baseball and back in California. Although he was unfairly sent to single-A Visalia for now, the Campaign can take solace in the fact that Mayobanex Santana will be close to our headquarters. Mayobanex played third base in his first game with Visalia, hitting a homer and driving in two runs. Two things to watch: Will he play any shortstop and/or first base? And will he remain a power hitter? Mayobanex hit a few homers last year in limited duty with Lancaster, so perhaps that is his key to success.
