This is my 1978 Kawasaki KZ 650 SR. I bought it from a buddies dad. Originally when I first bought it it was black. However, it was getting old and dull looking so I had it painted a forest metallic green. It has a Kerker header on it and although she is a 1978 she still sounds great and moves right out. As of Nov. 2000 I finally built up enough nerve to sell her. The good thing is that the guy who bought it loves these bikes and will take good care of her! I do miss her though.

This bike is my 1976 Yamaha RD 400 C. A classic 2 stroke machine. You don't see many like this on the road anymore, but I remember when I was growing up a few of my friends had them. This is what it looked like when I first bought it. |

This picture was taken probably 8 months after I first bought it. I took the rack off the back. I think that even made a difference on how she looked. |

This was taken after I did quite a bit of work to it. I replaced the handle bars that came with it with lower bars. I wanted to get straight bars like my KZ has but with the seat on this bike the way it is I would need to get it cut to be comfortable. I also had the motor re-hauled by a buddy of mine. (Thanks Doctor Phil!) And I put a set of DG Expansion Chambers on her. I wanted to to with Spec II's or Pro Flow's but just didn't have the cash. These are not bad for half the price of the other types of chambers though. She also sounds a lot better then she did stock. |

As you can see I had these two road bikes. I have had other bikes in the past (mainly dirtbikes). Recently I have sold my Kawasaki and sometimes I feel bad about doing that, but the guy who bought it is a really nice guy and has a Passion for the older bikes like myself so I know he will take good care of her. She was fast and very fun to ride though. Well that's it for the bikes for right now. Drop me a line and we can BS about them, or yours! But I still love my RD! |

Here is a picture of my brother Danny's 1978 BMW. He took this picture while driving across the country on it. |
