Here are some pictures of my seeds that I started on Feb. 13, 00. These pictures were taken on Feb. 24, 00, just short of 2 weeks of growing time. There are 26 different types of Cacti started here. As you can see it seems that not all Cacti germinate at the same time. This will be my first try at growing Cacti from seeds so I hope to record my efforts by taking pictures either once a week or at least bi-weekly and posting them here so that everyone will be able to see their progress. As you can see all the seeds somewhat look the same at this point.

| This next set of pictures were taken on 3/6/00 which is a week and a half after the first pics were taken and a day over 3 weeks since they were started. I think you can see some good progress. Although it is somewhat slow and I have had a few seedlings die. I guess that is to be expected though. If anyone has any tips or has any questions please go to my hompage and e-mail me. I would be happy to hear any advice you see fit, and if you have any questions for me I would be happy to answer them for you. |

| This next set of pics were taken on 4/19/00. You can see new growth and also more cacti seedlings with spines. So far so good. I have moved them under a grow light where some have turned a slight brown, but I have read that is OK if they keep growing. |

| This last set of pics were taken 8/9/00. You can see a lot of new growth and also more cacti seedlings with spines. Also you can really see what they are going to look like. I have kept them under the grow light where they have done very well. I am starting to think of seperating them soon and putting them in their own pots. What do you think??? The top row is to see all my cacti seedlings the bottom set is to see some up close. |
