Walker considers to move abroad
Tottenham's England international goalkeeper Ian Walker, has said that if George Graham does not give him a chance to keep the number one jersey at Spurs, then he will consider moving abroad on loan. The 29-year-old has replaced the suspended Neil Sullivan for the last two games and has kept two clean sheets whilst the Scottish international has been on the sidelines. "We'll see now if there is real competition or if I'm No 2 and he's No 1 - end of story," said Walker.
"I won't know whether I'm playing until Saturday but I feel I've done enough. I have kept two clean sheets so I could hardly have done any more. "I've enjoyed being back in the team and of course I want to stay in there. "If that's not to be, then I will talk to the manager after the weekend and ask to go on loan, probably abroad for a few months."
"I was seriously thinking about that option a few weeks ago but then Neil was suspended and I was back in. "Ideally I want to stay and keep in the team but, if not, the option of going on loan would be a good one for me." Walker, though, will be restricted in his choice of destination as the deadlines in France, Italy and Spain have already passed.
