MAZFIN.COM WRESTLING NEWS
The Wrestlemania 17 card stands as follows. The
speculated matches have an asterik beside them:
The Rock vs. Steve Austin
Triple H vs. Undertaker
Hardy Boyz vs. Dudley Boyz vs. Edge & Christian
Ivory vs. Chyna *
Raven & Ninja Woman vs. Crash & Molly *
There is speculation that Chris Jericho will fight either William Regal or Kurt Angle at the event, but if Benoit/Guerrero happens next week on TV, then Benoit will need to be factored into the equation as well. A hardcore match is also expected to be on the card, featuring the Big Show and possibly Kane, Rikishi and anyone else not used. According to Dave Meltzer @ Eyada.com, No Way Out looks to have drawn about 550,000 - 575,000 buys, which I believe will figure into around a 1.30 buyrate. This is very preliminary number. Contrary to internet rumors on other sites, Dave Scherer reports that the WWF was in no way disappointed in the Tazz/Michael Cole duo at Smackdown!. There are reports elsewhere that the WWF was disappointed in their announcing but the truth is that many officials realize that they will need some time to get used to working together on a two-hour show like Smackdown!.

This was sent in by reader Simon Rowley: A brief background of Lita is given, with nothing of note being mentioned.
Studio: Weclome to the UK. Have you been here before? Lita: Yes, i came over for the last pay-per-view, and i also visited when i was 19. Studio: Where did you get to?
Lita: Mostly London, but i also met up with some friends in Germany, Prague and Amsterdam.
Studio: There aren't too many people like William Regal in real life in England.
Lita: I haven't found them to be.
Studio: You were very brave and went to Mexico all by yourself to become a wrestler. Do you have to go through all that?
Lita: I didn't have to. At the time i wasn't aware of any indy federations or wrestling schools. It wasn't the best route to take.
Studio: Were you competing with men at this school?
Lita: I was the only female there. It wasn't actually a school, more of an informal crash course.
Studio: You were formerly in a band and played bass. Would you conisder pursuing this?
Lita: Well, it's not a priority because i'm so busy with the WWF - which is a good thing. However, we have just launced Smackdown Records, so never say never.
Studio: You have recently been in a feud with Ivory, and the Right to Censor. Do you see them running out of steam anytime soon?
Lita: I don't think so but i hope so. Ivory is too aggravating to deal with, but she does have the WWF Womens Title so she is in the way.
Studio: Would you rather go solo or are you happy staying with the Hardy Boyz?
Lita: I love being beside Matt and Jeff, but then again i do also enjoy singles competiton.
Studio: What kind of girl could become a wrestler? do you have to train as a teenager?
Lita: I think it's too early to make a job decision whilst in the teenage years. After graduating from school consider wrestling schools and be persistent, really outgoing and independent. Take the extra step.
Studio: The WWF sends a message to be safe, and not to imitate the moves at home. Can you emphasise this point?
Lita: Absolutely, we encourgae you to stay away. We have to do lots of training, and although children may copy their heroes, in the way they would batman or superman, they should not. Mick Foley has been helping to promote this, and WWFParents.com has recently opened.
Studio: Did you watch Mick Foley compete whilst you were training?
Lita: Well it was about 4 or 5 years ago, so i mainly watched Ric Flair and Roddy Piper on WCW, whilst in Mexico.
Studio: Who are your biggest influences?
Lita: Matt and Jeff are always there to help me.
Studio: Who do you most enjoy watching in the ring?
Lita: Chyna, Chris Benoit, Triple H, The Rock and Molly Holly is always exciting also. The Insurrextion pay-per-view is promoted, and the studio thank Lita for joining them, saying that she is a credit to the profession. Good job Lita!
