The Adult Friend Finder (AFF) is a commercial website. It is the world's largest sex and swinger community website that allows adults to find friends and sex partners. It boasts over 10 million active members. Sign up is free, however in order to contact other people and use the more advanced features one needs to buy a silver or gold membership.

Members may anonymously send email to other members, chat with other members, use webcams, share and read stories and photographs, and contribute to an online magazine with articles written by other members as well as create your own blog.

Via December 22, 2005 Alexa.com lists Adult Friend Finder as being the 43rd most visited website globally for the previous 3 months and with a reach for the previous 3 months averaging 10,297 per 1,000,000 users.

Several other "Friend finders", such as Private's jocpoc are in fact the same as AFF.

Criticism

Like many other "swinger" dating services, Adult Friend Finder has been frequently criticized as a popular target for phishing attempts and other online scams. Although AFF responds quickly to reports of abuse, at any given time there are many fake profiles with attractive female photos used to advertise porn sites, perpetrate Nigerian scams, or otherwise abuse the service.

Additionally, Adult Friend Finder has been repeatedly accused of using dishonest advertising methods, including spam and spyware. Like many such services the ratio of men to women is very high.

There are other commercial online dating services, such as sdate, which use unique methods to increase the ratio of women and filter out fake profiles and photos.
