Basketball Rules and Regulations




• The proper conduct of the game shall demand a full and loyal cooperation of the members of each team with the officials and commissioner.
• Each team shall do the best to secure victory but this must be done in the spirit of sportsmanship and fair play.
• Any deliberate or repeated non-cooperation with the spirit of this rule shall be considered technical foul and penalized accordingly.



Fouls
A. Personal Foul- A player fouls out of thegame on his sixth personal foul. If a team has less than 5 players due to fouling out, the opposing team has the right to choose which of the fouled player return to the game, or they should continue playing with less than 5 players. If the fouled out player returneded to the game, then any subsequent foul commited by any player will be assessed with free throws plus possesion of the ball.
B. Bench fouls- assessed against coaches or players on the bench will result in a free throw and possesion of the ball.

TWO TECHNICAL FOULS BY A PLAYER/COACH WARRANTS EXPULSION FROM THE GAME.

Behavior
A. Any negative comments towards the opposing team or the official is considered a technical hence awarded a free throw plus ball possession to the opposing team.
B.Any foul deemed intentional by the referee will result in the other team awarded free throws and possession.
C.If the foul was judged hy the official to be flagrant or aimed at injuring a player, that player will be ejected from the game and be brought to the commisioners for penalty.
D. Throwing punches is automatic expulsion from the league. Any player booted out from the league may not be able to return for the next tournament.


Timing regulations
A.Game periods- There will be 2 halves, 20 minutes each. The clock will stop n all free throws. There will be 4 minutes interval between halves.
B.Overtime period- three(3) minutes on first overtime , stop clock on all whistles, and if their is onother OT the first team to score three (3) consecutive points win the game.
C.Time out-there will be 4 full time outs ( 2 minutes for each team the whole game)


Spectators
The MBA has the right to expel or throw out any unruly or rude spectators. Spectators are not allowed to shoot ball during warm-ups and at any breaks of the game. Whoever team has that spectators will be penalized for appropriate penalty deemed necessary by the technical committee and the referees.
