...Greg's Background...

Greg Eklund was born on April 18, 1970, and moved around a lot as a child because his father was a Navy pilot. Greg played drums for the band Jollymon while living in Eugene, Oregon, but left the band shortly after the release of their album "Sailing" to move to Portland. After playing with Jollymon, Greg played for the band Nero's Rome for a little while. When he learned that Scott Cuthbert had been dismissed from Everclear, he called Art to let him know of his interest in the band. Everclear held an informal audition for Greg and, after passing the audition, he joined Everclear. On July 6, 1997, Eklund married his girlfriend Ellina. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California.
