Church Covenant
Having been led, as we believe by the Holy Spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour, and on the profession of our faith in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we do no in the presence of God, Angels and this assembly, most joyfully enter into Covenant with one another as One Body in Christ. We engage therefore, by the help of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love: to strive for the advancement of this church in knowledge, holiness and comfort. As members of this church, we shall strive to promote its prosperity and spiritually, sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline and doctrines.
We further engage that we will not forsake the assembling of ourselves together at such times and places as the church may appoint, for instruction, prayer, evangelization or business. We further engage, That we will cheerfully and according to our means give our tithes and offering {Mission, Love Sacrificial & Freewill) for the support of the general expenses of the church, the support of our Pastor, Church staff & Missionaries, the relief of the poor, the maintenance of a faithful ministry among us, and for the spread to the Gospel throughout the world.
We further engage, to watch over each other in brotherly love, to exercise a mutual care for one another, to remember each other in prayer, to aid each other in sickness and distress. To cultivate Christian Courtesy and Sympathy in feeling and speech. To be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation, and mindful of the rules laid down by our Saviour to secure it. We further engage, to maintain family and secret devotions, to educate our children in the Christian faith, to see the salvation of our kindred and friends, to walk circumspectly before the world and to seek at all times to be an example.
To be Just in our dealings, faithfully in our engagements, to avoid all tattling, backbiting and whispering, and anything that might cause dissension and disunity in the church. We further engage, to flee the very appearance of evil, to endeavor to renounce all worldliness, to abstain from the manufacture, sale or use of Intoxicating drinks as a beverage, and all other things that are not conductive to the spiritual life of the church.
We further engage, that we wilt be the grace of God submit without reservation to our Pastor and his leadership, support him not only in financial matter but also in all his visions and programs in the church. We further engage, that when we remove from this place, we possible unite with a church (KJV independent Baptist Church) where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant.
