• Dispute between Yehudah and Yosef (44:18-34)
  Binyamin is held by Yosef for the theft of the silver cup. Yehudah argues for his release.

• Yosef reveals himself to his brothers (45:1-25)
  Yosef realizes that the argument with Yehudah has to end. He sends the Egyptians away in order not to embarrass his brothers and then reveals that he is Yosef.
  He assures them that his being sent to Egypt was the hand of Gd and that he does not hold ill will toward them for their selling him into slavery.
  He tells them to go bring their father and their families back to Egypt for the duration of the famine.
  The brothers tell Yaakov that Yosef is alive and ruling in Egypt.

• Yaakov and the family travel to Egypt (46:1-30)
  The family decide to travel to Egypt. Gd tells Yaakov not to be afraid to go.
  Seventy souls descended into Egypt.

• Introduction to Pharaoh (46:31-47:12)
  Yosef tells his brothers to tell Pharaoh they are “breeders of herds.”
  Five of his brothers are introduced to Pharaoh; they tell him they are shepherds.
  Yaakov is introduced to Pharaoh. He tells him that he has lived 130 hard years. He blesses Pharaoh.
  The family settles in the land of Rameses--Goshen.

• Yosef’s treatment of the Egyptians during the famine (49:13-27)
  There was no food in all the region.
  The people gave all their money to Yosef to buy food.
  Yosef then bought their herds for food.
  He purchased all the farmland and the people to work the land in exchange for one-fifth of the produce. Only the property of the priests was not taken.
