A Marmalade Boy Shrine

Characters

This is a list of some of the characters from Marmalade Boy:
(click on the character's name to see a picture of him/her, but not all have a picture.)

Koishikawa Miki:
(¾®ÀÐÀî¸÷´õ)
Miki is the main girl in the series. She is usually bright and cheerful (except when she is having relationship troubles, which is often.)

Matsuura Yuu:
(¾¾±ºÍ·)
Yuu is the main guy in the series. He is very good-looking, but he is also tends to keep to himself a lot, most of this has to do with some family problems he has.

Suou Ginta:
(¿Ü²¦äÂÀ)
Ginta is a member of the tennis club, and has been friends with Miki since they were young. He's kind of quick tempered, but he's also very devoted to his friends.

Akizuki Meiko:
(½©·îè»Ò)
Meiko is Miki's ever-serious best friend. She has problems with her parents (who don't get along) and she has a few relationship troubles of her own. She is a good writer.

Suzuki Arimi:
(ÎëÌÚ°¡Íü¼Â)
Arimi is the most popular girl at her school (she even has her own fan club run by three cute seniors!) She and Yuu dated for a short time. Later she started dating Ginta. She is also very good at track.

Miwa Satoshi:
(»°Îظç»Ë)
Miwa is a friend of Yuu (sometimes mistaken as more than a friend) who is the son of a famous architect and the cousin of Suzu. He is also interested in Meiko (who's heart - unfortunately - lies elsewhere.) and encourages her in her writing. He's good at fixing things so that he gets his own way.

Sakuma Suzu:
(º´µ×´Ö¤¹¤º)
Suzu is a super-cute (and often annoying) idol. She is Miwa's cousin, and was obsessed with Yuu for quite a while (She even got Miwa to get Yuu to be her tutor so she could be alone with him.)

Tsuchiya Kei:
(ÅÚ²°·Ö)
Kei worked with Miki at Bobson's ice cream parlor, and started to like her. He plays the piano, but because of some problems he has, he isn't happy. He tries very hard to get Miki.

Rokutanda Tsutomu:
(ϻȿÅÄ̳)
Tsutomu is Ginta's cousin, and Arimi's number one fan (much to her consternation). He's always challenging other guys (Yuu and Ginta especially) to contests over Arimi and, thanks to his bad luck, always losing them.

Kitahara Anju:
(Ë̸°É¼ù)
Anju was a friend of Yuu when they were young. Now she's back, she's really sick, and she's in love with Yuu (but really, she's pretty nice about it all.)

Takase Yayoi:
(¹âÀ¥ÌïÀ¸)
Yayoi is not a big character, but she is the girl who is sort of dating Tsutmou (it's about time! That guy gets a break!) They met on New Year's Day.

Koishikawa Rumi, (later Matsuura Rumi):
(¾®ÀÐÀîαÈþ) (¾¾±ºÎ±Èþ)
Miki's mom.

Koishikawa Jin:
(¾®ÀÐÀî¿Î)
Miki's dad.

Matsuura Chiyako, (later Koishikawa Chiyako):
(¾¾±ºÀéÌï»Ò)  (¾®ÀÐÀîÀéÌï»Ò)
Yuu's mom.

Matsuura Youji:
(¾¾±ºÍ×»Î)
Yuu's dad.

Namura Shin'ichi:
(̾¼¿µ°ì)
Known affectionately by his students as Na-chan (I cannot imagine calling one of my teachers "chan"!) He is the teacher that everyone likes (one student a little more than the others...)

Momoi Ryoko:
(Åí°æμ»Ò)
Ryoko is another teacher. She is in a one-sided love with Namura.

Kijima Takuji:
(ÌÚÅçÂóÏ©)
Takuji is the owner of Junk Jungle, the clothing store that Yuu works at. He has been friends with Namura and Ryoko since high school.

Kijima Rei:
(ÌÚÅçóÕ)
Rei is Takuji's wife, the owner of a small decoration store where Miki gad a part-time job.

Michael Grant:
The American exchange student who comes to live with Miki's family. He (surprise, surprise) likes Miki. Apparently he learned to speak Japanese by watching Samurai movies, but I can tell you from experience that if you could do that I would already be speaking Japanese as well as Midorikawa Hikaru (which I do not!)

Brian Grant:
Michael's brother, who lives in New York.

William Matheson:
Bill is Yuu's roommate in New York. He likes Jinny, Jinny doesn't like him, Doris likes Bill, he doesn't know she's alive... you know the drill. (Plus I think he kinda looks like a girl...)

Jinny Golding:
Not all American girls are like this!

Doris O'Conner:
Another of the Americans who go to school with Yuu in New York near the end of the series. You can tell her apart from Jinny because Doris is actually nice.

I'll probably add more later. If you have pictures of the characters that I am missing that you would like to send to me out of the goodness of your heart, then please feel free!
