The scene opens on RJ lying in his hospital bed, still
comatose. Suddenly, his chest lifts from
the bed, and his pulse rate goes up. We pull in to RJ and the screen goes
black.
We open again in an antique store. RJ is looking at
antiques, in what is a dream sequence. A man walks up behind him.
MAN
Can I help you?
RJ
No.
MAN
Can I help you?
RJ
No.
MAN
Can I help you?
RJ
What do you want?
MAN
You to know. You all to know.
RJ turns around to the man, and suddenly they find
themselves in a graveyard.
MAN
The past is not buried.
RJ
What?
MAN
They're fighting the wrong war.
RJ
What war?
RJ looks at the grave he's standing on, where someone has
been freshly buried.
MAN
Accept your future.
RJ looks at the grave, which shows Elizabeth Betsy Howe, 1963-2004.
Below it, it shows John Luke Howe,
1962-
RJ
He's not dead.
MAN
Embrace the past.
RJ
He's not…
We cut back to the hospital room with RJ waking up.

EPISODE 8
PROPHECY CHILD
The scene changes to the high school where Issac, Faith, Leona, and Hunter are all seated at their
respective table, eating lunch.
FAITH
OK, not to be Ms. Obvious, but I'm really starting to worry that we haven't
seen David.
HUNTER
Maybe he just skipped town.
LEONA
Unlikely.
ISSAC
Look, he'll come to us, and when he does, we'll finish it.
HUNTER
Oh yeah, like this is all just leading up to a big bad showdown? Right.
LEONA
I'm ready.
Suddenly, through the far lunchroom doors, RJ walks in.
There's a startling difference in his usual appearance. Rather than coming in
as the traditional nerdy type, RJ enters the room calm and cool. Very
confidant.
LEONA
I don't believe it…
Faith gets up and runs to RJ
RJ
Hey, whoa, it's only me.
FAITH
You just woke up and the first thing you do is come to school?
RJ
I had to see you guys.
RJ and Faith join the table.
ISSAC
Are you OK?
RJ
I've never felt better. It's like sleeping for a hundred hours.
HUNTER
You look… different.
RJ
Modeling the new RJ.
HUNTER
The new RJ still shop at K-Mart?
RJ
No, the new RJ steals the cool leather jacket out of comatose roommates closet.
HUNTER
Nice.
ISSAC
You stole something?
RJ
That's so not the point. The point here is that… right before I woke up…
someone sent me a message.
FAITH
What, like a telegram?
RJ
No… like… a dream.
LEONA
A prophecy? You had a prophecy?
ISSAC
What was it?
The scene cuts to a different part of RJ's dream. He's
sitting in a church, with a preacher standing in front of him. When the camera
pulls away from RJ, we see that he's actually the only one in the church, but
the preacher seems to be talking to everyone.
PREACHER
The Father. The Son. The Holy Ghost.
RJ gets up from the pew.
PREACHER
The Father. The Son. The Holy Ghost.
RJ walks to the door.
PREACHER
The holy trinity.
The scene cuts back to the lunchroom.
RJ
Don't you get it? It's a trinity. It can't be broken. It's sanctified.
ISSAC
If it can't be broken, why are they trying to kill me and why is my father
dead?
RJ
He isn't dead.
ISSAC
What?
RJ
That's the other part of the prophecy… I was in a graveyard. It showed your
mother… and then your father. Your father's date was left blank.
ISSAC
That's impossible.
LEONA
If your father is still alive…
HUNTER
Where's the child support?
LEONA
I was gonna say, where is he. Why do you speak anyway?
ISSAC
My father's alive?
RJ
Presumably until YOU complete the holy trinity by having a son, and becoming
the father.
LEONA
What about the Holy Ghost?
Everyone is silent.
FAITH
You.
LEONA
What?
FAITH
You're the Holy Ghost.
ISSAC
Sure, that makes sense. You had some sort of call to duty, right? Maybe your
predecessor was killed so you replaced?
LEONA
If my predecessor was killed, then that would have broken the Trinity, right?
FAITH
Not necessarily, if you were called right away.
HUNTER
Or maybe… you're not the real Leona. Maybe you’re a hell clone like David.
LEONA
Right.
HUNTER
No, I'm serious. How do we know you're not?
FAITH
Hunter, lay off.
ISSAC
Sorry Leona, he has a point.
LEONA
Maybe because I've saved your ass a thousand times, I've been alone with Issac enough times that I could have killed him, and
through it all I still put up with you?
RJ
She's got my vote.
HUNTER
Alright. But I've got my eye on you.
A kid across the lunchroom screams and the gang turns
around. They see a bunch of kids running to the window and looking outside.
KID 1 (O.S.)
WHAT IS IT?
KID 2 (O.S.)
It's coming for us!
ISSAC
It can't be.
FAITH
He wouldn't come here…
RJ
There was something else in the dream…
LEONA
Not now.
Issac, Faith,
Leona, and Hunter all run to the window.
RJ
We're fighting the wrong war.
Outside the school is David, standing on the sidewalk
leading to the school.
ISSAC
I've got to go fight him.
LEONA
You're not going alone.
RJ runs over to Issac and the
gang.
RJ
Issac. Listen.
ISSAC
Not now.
RJ
In the prophecy, a man said we were fighting the wrong war.
ISSAC
There's nothing wrong about fighting a demon.
RJ
There might be.
HUNTER
He's here to kill us, RJ. Just let Jesus here do his job OK?
RJ
The man said I needed to accept my future and embrace the past.
HUNTER
What?
RJ
I don't know what it means, but I think it means you can't go out there.
LEONA
He's right.
ISSAC
What?
LEONA
It might be a trap. I'm going.
Leona moves away from the group.
ISSAC
No.
LEONA
Hey, just remember if I die and another girl is called up, I was always your
favorite.
HUNTER
Leona. Wait.
Leona moves back to Hunter, who looks like he's gonna try to
kiss her.
HUNTER
You've got macaroni on your shirt.
Hunter flicks the macaroni off of Leona's
shoulder and Leona gets pissed and walks away.
HUNTER
That would have been so embarassing.
FAITH
Yeah… wouldn't want to enter a death defying battle with food on your shirt.
RJ
Accept my future?
HUNTER
Stop babbling. Watch the fight.
Issac, Faith, and
Hunter look out the window as Leona charges David with sword in hand. The
camera closes on RJ.
RJ
What is my future?
