The scene opens on David and
Leona fighting outside the school, taking off almost exactly where we left off
last time. Leona has two swords in her hands, and her swings are causing David
to back away from her. Behind her, the doors to the school swing open and Issac, Hunter, Faith, and RJ step outside.
LEONA
Get back inside!
Issac reveals his
cross, which is glowing.
ISSAC
Leave here!
Issac raises his
arm like he's pointing at David and Leona.
ISSAC
I cast you out!
DAVID
NEVER!
Suddenly, both Leona and David
freeze.
DAVID
I will… not… be beaten…
Hunter reveals a crossbow that
was stored at his side.
HUNTER
You can. And will.
Hunter fires the crossbow and the arrow pierces David's heart. The camera holds
on Issac, Hunter, Faith, and RJ as David falls to the
ground dead. Issac releases Leona from his grasp and
she immediately runs over, totally pissed off.
LEONA
I can't BELIEVE you just did that.
ISSAC
I was trying to…
LEONA
No! You just made everything I do seem pointless. I was CALLED to protect you Issac, to die for you.
RJ
That's not entirely true.
LEONA
What?
RJ
Your calling.
FAITH
What RJ's trying to say is that we've got this whole thing wrong.
Leona looks shocked.
HUNTER
I dunno if this is the right time or not, but you're hot when you're mad.

The scene reopens in Issac's house, with the gang assembled. The TV is on, and
they're all sitting on the couch, with Faith lying on the floor closer to the
TV.
LEONA
Is anyone ever going to tell me what the hell is going on?
RJ
I TRIED to tell you earlier, but NOOOOO.
LEONA
Well, I'm listening now.
RJ looks like he's about to tell
the story when Hunter turns to Leona.
HUNTER
Alright, so RJ has this prophecy, right? And basically, we learn that Issac's dad is still alive somewhere, because of some holy
trinity shit that keeps the three of you alive, until….
LEONA
Until what?
HUNTER
I dunno… I stopped paying attention at that point.
ISSAC
Until someone comes along to replace us.
LEONA
What does that mean?
ISSAC
It means, when I have a son, my father will die.
Everyone in the room looks at Issac.
LEONA
Oh god.
Issac looks at
Leona.
ISSAC
I'm sorry, I can't do this.
Issac gets up from
the couch and exits the room.
LEONA
What was that? He can't do this? Why?
FAITH
Leona, stop. Give the guy a break.
LEONA
It's his destiny. He was BORN to do it. His father had to make the same
decision.
RJ
You don't know the whole story, so shutup.
LEONA
Hey, don't tell me to shutup, I'm not the one who is
flaking out because I don't want to fufill a prophecy
or live out my own DESTINY!
FAITH
Alright. I've had enough.
Faith stands up and confronts
Leona who is also standing.
LEONA
I protect him, not the other…
FAITH
What Issac didn't tell you. What Issac
COULDN'T tell you, is that when he has a child, the Trinity as a whole starts
over.
LEONA
What?
FAITH
The reason he's so fucking upset right now, is because when he has a son. You
die.
Faith leaves the room, leaving a devestated Leona behind.
RJ
You're the Holy Ghost. You complete the trinity. But you're Issac's
Holy Ghost. When Issac becomes the father, you're no
longer needed.
LEONA
Oh… wow… I had no idea….
HUNTER
Somebody's got some apologizing to do.
The camera cuts to Issac sitting on the roof of his house, looking out onto
the neighborhood. Behind him, Leona
climbs out his bedroom window and sits next to him on the roof.
LEONA
Hey.
ISSAC
Listen… about today…
LEONA
No problem.
ISSAC
They told you, didn't they?
LEONA
Yeah.
ISSAC
I'm not ready.
LEONA
Neither am I.
ISSAC
Well, I suppose the fact that I'm not even dating anyone means that a kid is at
least 9 months down the road… so…
LEONA
So I've got 9 months?
ISSAC
Oh, more than that. I don’t want to replace you.
Faith climbs out onto the roof.
FAITH
The boys started watching some
stupid bikini movie where none of the girls can act… or put on clothing for
that matter.
LEONA
I'm gonna head back inside.
Leona leaves Faith and Issac alone on the roof together.
Back inside, downstairs, Hunter
and RJ are watching some kind of pseudo-porn.
LEONA
What the hell are you watching?
HUNTER
Ya know, for the God Squad, we certainly use a lot of profanity? I mean, a
fuck, and a hell? What's next?
LEONA
Ass,
HUNTER
See? The streak continues.
Leona sits on the couch next to
Hunter.
RJ
I'm… gonna… yeah…
RJ awkwardly leaves the room.
LEONA
What the hell was that?
HUNTER
OK, seriously? You're like the Holy Baba or whatever, you can't just be
spouting hell whenever you…
Leona moves in and kisses Hunter,
quickly and briefly. They both just sit there, quiet, and continue to watch TV.
The camera cuts back onto the
roof where Issac and Faith are looking out at the
city.
FAITH
You're kind of a superhero, you know?
ISSAC
I guess.
FAITH
You guess? You stopped two people from MOVING today.
ISSAC
Yeah.
FAITH
I just wish…
ISSAC
What?
FAITH
Well, that the whole Trinity thing wasn't true. About you having a kid and all.
ISSAC
Me too.
Faith begins to tell a story,
while Issac looks off in the distance at someone
walking down the sidewalk.
FAITH
Cause, well… OK… when I was little, my mom used to read me Rapunzel
a lot. A girl is locked away in a tower, away from everyone else, until her
prince comes and sweeps her off her feet. And I always thought it was silly
that some girl had long enough hair for someone to climb, but I realize now
that this prince charming stuff is for real. I mean, I've got one sitting right
here… next to me… but I can't tell him that because he's a son of God, and
well, that just presents an awkward situation…
Issac jumps off the
roof.
FAITH
Well… not exactly the reaction I was hoping for…
ISSAC
DAD!
Faith looks over the edge of the roof to see Issac
running into the man's arms who was walking down the sidewalk earlier.
FAITH
Dad?
