Grand River drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning as they scored 4 runs on 4 base hits. The early run support proved sufficient for Waddell and Grand River. That was all the run support Waddell required. Grand River had 13 hits for the night while Sacramento had 9. Whitey Ford(0-1) was given the loss.
