WEB GEMS- Bot 4th: Mike Schmidt robbed Freddy Lindstrom of a base hit.

At Dodger Stadium the Athens Bobkittens outscored the North Eaton Posy
DagGumits 9 to 6.

Athens won the game with a rally in the top of the 9th inning scoring 3 runs
on 2 hits.  After an out was recorded, Ty Cobb began the Athens spurt when he
lined a base-hit.  Honus Wagner stepped into the batter's box and he
delivered a single.  Wagner swiped second base.  Lou Gehrig was up next and
he reached on an error scoring two baserunners.  One out later, Harry
Heilmann came to the plate and was walked intentionally.  Ken Williams added
to the rally and reached on an error scoring the final run of the inning.
Athens had a total of 11 hits for the game.

The victory was credited to Mark Eichhorn(1-0) who went 1/3 of an inning,
allowing no runs. Tom Henke earned his 2nd save.  Jimmy Key(0-1) took the
loss in relief.  He was pinned with the loss despite not allowing an earned
run in his 1 inning of work.
