Ted Williams had 3 base hits at Tiger Stadium where the Harvey Wallbangers
beat the Bat Cracking Bombers 7 to 6.

Hooks Wiltse(1-1) had a fairly solid outing.  He was reached for 5 hits and no
walks in 5 innings.  Bat Cracking threatened in the 9th but their rally came
up short.

Wiltse got help from Dick Radatz who earned his 1st save.  The loss was
charged to Larry Corcoran(0-2).  Despite losing Bat Cracking's manager was
optimistic after the game.  'We'll get over this one.  Sometimes the breaks
fall your way, sometimes they don't.  Any one of a dozen little things go
different, and we come out on top.'
