Catcher Carlton Fisk had 2 base hits at Candlestick Park as the N. Ridgeville
Bandits beat the Sacramento Soches by the count of 6 to 5.

N. Ridgeville brought 2 runs across the plate in the top of the 4th inning.
After two were out Albert Belle got things going when he doubled.  Eddie
Mathews was next and he bombed a two-run dinger (his 4th of the season).
Sacramento had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.

The win was credited to Fergie Jenkins(2-0) who went 6 innings allowing 3
runs. Steve Howe got the save, his 2nd.  Don Sutton(0-1) ended up with the
loss.  He pitched 7 innings giving up 8 hits and 1 walk.

Sacramento's manager was reflective after the loss, 'We should have won this
one, we just made one too many mistakes.  Son-of-a-gun, that added a couple
more white hairs on this noggin of mine.
