First baseman Bill Terry had 2 base hits and Addie Joss had a strong outing as
the Grand River Ghostmen defeated the Cleveland Mayors by a score of 2 to 0
at League Park.

Grand River scored the deciding run in the 8th inning.  Mike Piazza slapped a
base-hit.  Billy Williams stepped into the batter's box and he smacked a
single.  Terry then slapped a one-base hit scoring the run.  Grand River
rapped out 11 hits for the afternoon.

'He was moving it around and spotting it very well.' Cleveland's manager
said.  Joss pitched a great game. He deserves all the credit.'
