The big moment was provided by Paul Molitor who silenced the crowd when he doubled with all three runners coming home. Athens had 12 hits in the game while N. Ridgeville had 7, but N. Ridgeville had the more timely hits. Dennis Martinez(2-1) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings. Steve Howe was credited with his 3rd save. Carl Mays(2-2) took the loss.
