WEB GEMS- Top 8th: Ron Guidry robbed Jeff Kent of a base hit.

In a close game it was the Kelso Hilanders 7, the Lake Erie Mohawks 5 at
SAFECO Field.

Kelso scored the decisive runs in a big bottom of the 8th inning when they
scored 4 runs on 3 hits.  The key offensive moment was provided by Pie
Traynor who thrilled the crowd when he doubled scoring two baserunners.
Kelso had a total of 10 hits for the game.

Ron Guidry(2-1) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1/3 of an inning.
Mitch Williams gained credit for his 3rd save.  John Candelaria(0-1) was the
loser in relief.  He allowed 2 hits and 1 walk in 1 and 1/3 innings.

The win by Kelso is a very welcome one as they have been struggling in recent
days.  Their record now stands at 7-17 - only 2-8 in their last ten games.
With the loss, the Lake Erie ballclub's record is 14-10.
