First baseman Mo Vaughn slammed a homerun as the N. Ridgeville Bandits
defeated the Bat Cracking Bombers 10 to 4 at Tiger Stadium.

N. Ridgeville took the lead for good in the top of the 2nd inning with 2 runs
using 3 hits.  Eddie Mathews kicked off the action when he stroked a single.
Darren Daulton next to the plate and he doubled.  Gary Carter then drew a
walk.  Fergie Jenkins stepped in and he laid down a sacrifice bunt.  Tony
Gwynn stepped into the box and hit a single scoring two baserunners.  N.
Ridgeville had 18 hits for the night while Bat Cracking had 9. 

The winning pitcher was Jenkins(4-1) who allowed 4 runs in 7 and 1/3 innings.
