In a tight game it was the Cleveland Mayors 6, the Sacramento Soches 4 at
League Park.

Cleveland took the lead for keeps in the bottom of the 3rd inning when they
tallied 3 runs on 5 hits.  The big moment was provided by George Sisler who
electrified League Park when he stroked a base-hit bringing in two
baserunners.  Sacramento was out-hit by Cleveland, 12 hits to 9.

The victory was credited to Al Spalding(3-2) who went 7 and 1/3 innings,
allowing 4 runs. Dennis Eckersley got the save, his 5th.  Don Sutton(1-3)
suffered the loss.
