Athens ended up with 14 hits for the game while Limerick had 8. The win was credited to Carl Mays(3-2) who went 8 innings allowing 4 runs. Cy Young(1-3) ended up with the loss. He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 5 runs in 3 innings. The Athens ballclub's record now stands at 15-11. With the loss, Limerick has a record of 5-5 lately, 14-12 overall. |
