In a one-sided affair the Brentwood Bearcats batters pounded the Bat Cracking
Bombers pitchers for 15 runs while Herb Score(4-1), with relief help from
Jack Morris, allowed Bat Cracking 5 runs.

Willie Stargell provided the offensive punch.  He launched a rocket-shot out
of the park for a Grand Slam homerun (his 6th of the season) in the 1st
inning and smacked a single in the 6th inning.  Brentwood bats were hot in
the 1st inning when they had 7 runs on 5 hits and the 7th inning with 6 runs
on 5 hits.  Brentwood had 12 hits overall, while Bat Cracking had 6.
