In a two run game the North Eaton Posy DagGumits got by the Lake Erie Mohawks
by the score of 5 to 3.

In the 7th inning North Eaton scored 2 runs.  Joe Gordon got things going when
he ripped a solo home run (his 3rd of the season).  After an out was
recorded, Ed Delahanty stepped in and he drew a walk.  Bill Dickey then
slapped a single.  One out later, Rogers Hornsby stepped up to the plate and
he was walked intentionally to load the bases.  Stan Musial came to the plate
and drew a walk scoring the final run of the inning.  North Eaton finished
with 10 hits while Lake Erie ended up with 6. 

Masanori Murakami(1-0) went 1/3 of an inning allowing no runs for the victory.
Murakami got help from Jeff Montgomery who was credited with his 7th save.
Tom Seaver(1-3) was hit with the loss.  He served up 3 gopher balls in 6 and
1/3 innings. 

With this win, North Eaton has a division leading 17-10 record.  They have
been 5-5 lately.  With the loss Lake Erie now has a record of 17-11.
