Spalding(4-2) gave a fine effort for Cleveland. He surrendered 9 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings. Brentwood threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short. The loss was charged to Bob Lemon(1-4). He was hit hard and gave up 10 hits and 5 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings. 'It was a tough one to lose' said Brentwood's manager 'We'll get them next time out.' |
