Fred Lynn went yard and had 2 RBI as the Brentwood Bearcats defeated the North
Eaton Posy DagGumits by a score of 9 to 7 at Tiger Stadium.

North Eaton fell behind quickly as the Brentwood offense came through in the
first inning when they scored 5 runs on 4 hits.  The critical plate
appearance was by Lynn who thrilled the crowd when he blasted a two-run home
run (his 4th of the season).  Brentwood banged out 11 on the night.

The winning pitcher was Walter Johnson(5-1) who allowed 6 runs in 7 and 1/3
innings. Goose Gossage gained credit for his 7th save.  Jocko Flynn(1-3) was
the loser.

'I just wanted to give my team a chance to win.' said Johnson, 'I got burned
on a couple of pitches. But we won the game, and that's all that matters.'
