Duke Snider lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 3 RBI as the Bat
Cracking Bombers outscored the Kelso Hilanders in 11 innings 17 to 10.

The game was deadlocked at 8 after nine full innings.  Finally, Bat Cracking
pulled the game out in the 11th inning.  The key at-bat was by Hank Aaron who
silenced SAFECO Field as he cleared the fences for a two-run home run (his
7th of the season).  Bat Cracking bats were very productive in the 11th
inning when they had 7 runs on 7 hits.  Bat Cracking finished with 20 hits
while Kelso ended up with 14.

Bruce Sutter(2-0) went 2 innings allowing 2 runs for the victory. Mitch
Williams(1-3) was charged with the loss in relief.  He allowed a few too many
baserunners giving up 8 hits and 4 walks in 2 innings.

The Bat Cracking ballclub's record now stands at 19-18.  With the loss, Kelso
has a record of 5-5 lately, 14-24, worst in the division overall.
