Left fielder George Foster had 3 base hits and 3 RBI and Dennis Eckersley
closed the door on Kelso as the Cleveland Mayors beat the Kelso Hilanders by
a score of 9 to 8.

Cleveland won the game with a run in the 8th inning. Eddie Collins reached on
an error.  Collins stole second with some aggressive base running.  After an
out was recorded, Foster stepped up to the plate and he reached on an error.
Foster came up and he lined a base-hit scoring the run.  Although they lost,
Kelso did out-hit Cleveland 16 to 10.

Tim Keefe(1-4) allowed no runs in 1 inning, and picked up the victory.
Eckersley gained credit for his 9th save.  Frank Arellanes(2-3) took the loss
in relief.  It was a tough loss for him as he did not allow an earned run in
his 1 and 2/3 innings of work.

With this win, Cleveland has a 14-26 record.  They have been 5-5 lately.
Kelso has a record of 14-25, worst in the division after the loss.
