Left fielder Albert Belle left the yard and had 2 RBI at Tiger Stadium where
the N. Ridgeville Bandits beat the Bat Cracking Bombers in 10 innings 7 to
6.

The score was knotted at 5 after nine innings.  N. Ridgeville was victorious
in the 10th inning.  Mickey Mantle got things going when he drew a walk.
After an out was recorded, Belle came to the plate and smashed a two-run
homer (his 7th of the season).  It was roller coaster of a game as the lead
change hands 5 times. 

Lefty Gomez(4-1) was the winner allowing 1 run in 1 inning. Gomez got help
from Jerry Koosman who earned his 1st save.  Hideo Nomo(2-1) took the loss in
relief.
