The North Eaton Posy DagGumits eventually emerged as victors over the Bat Cracking Bombers by the score of 2 to 1. Walsh was in control of the game from the outset. He was stingy on the mound, allowing just 5 hits and 2 walks in 8 innings reducing his ERA from 3.76 to 3.36. Bat Cracking made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs across. Walsh was helped out by Jeff Montgomery who recorded his 10th save. 'We didn't get the key hits when we needed them' Bat Cracking's manager said. 'We did what we could, we just didn't pull out the win. What can you say?' |
