Third baseman Jeff Kent had 2 base hits and 2 RBI at Yankee Stadium where the
Lake Erie Mohawks beat the Grand River Ghostmen 6 to 5.

Lake Erie scored the deciding run in the top of the 9th inning.  Dom Dimaggio
blasted a solo shot (his 1st of the season).  Lake Erie out-hit Grand River
for the game, 12 hits to 9. 

Rod Beck(1-1) allowed no runs in 1 inning, and picked up the victory. Beck was
helped out by Hoyt Wilhelm who recorded his 10th save.  Bryan Harvey(0-5) was
the losing pitcher in relief. 

The Lake Erie ballclub's record now stands at 33-25.  With the loss Grand
River now has a record of 26-33, worst in the division.
