The Lake Erie Mohawks tallied 4 runs in the 6th inning and easily topped the
Grand River Ghostmen; the final score was 12 to 7.

Joe Dimaggio was spectacular at the plate.  He doubled plating three runs in
the 2nd inning, doubled scoring a run in the 6th inning and cracked a solo
homerun (his 13th of the season) in the 8th inning.  Lake Erie had 13 hits
overall, while Grand River had 9. 

Ed Reulbach(8-2) went 6 innings allowing 7 runs for the win. Andy
Messersmith(0-3) was hit with the loss in relief.  He was the victim of a
defensive lapse and did not allow an earned run in the game. 

The Lake Erie ballclub's record now stands at 36-28.  With the loss, Grand
River has a record of 4-6 lately, 29-36 overall.
