Duke Snider lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 3 RBI at Tiger Stadium
as the Bat Cracking Bombers beat the Cleveland Mayors by the count of 11 to
3.

Snider had a good evening at the plate.  He laced a base-hit plating a run in
the 1st inning, lined a one-base hit in the 3rd inning and smashed a two-run
homer (his 8th of the season) in the 5th inning.  Cleveland was out-hit by
Bat Cracking, 13 hits to 10.

Kevin Appier(4-3) went 8 innings allowing 3 runs for the win. Al Spalding(7-3)
was the losing pitcher.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 9 hits and 4 walks
in 5 and 2/3 innings.
